Publiskais diskurss par Krievijas televīziju Latvijas nacionālajos dienas laikrakstos

Abstract

“Publiskais diskurss par Krievijas televīziju Latvijas nacionālajos dienas laikrakstos” ir pētījums par publiskā diskursa kvalitāti. Tajā analizēts, kādas diskursīvās stratēģijas izmantojuši publiskie komunikatori, skaidrojot Krievijas televīzijas negatīvo ietekmi un pamatojot tās mazināšanas pasākumus. Ar argumentatīvā diskursa stratēģijām šajā darbā tiek saprastas argumentu shēmas un retoriskie instrumenti. Darbu veido teorētiskā un praktiskā daļa. Teorija sniedz būtiskāko saistīto konceptu skaidrojumus, aplūko teorētiskās atziņas par kvalitatīva publiskā diskursa un racionālās argumentācijas principiem, iepazīstina ar argumentācijas analīzi un argumentācijas shēmu pieeju. Praktiskajā daļā veikta Latvijas nacionālo dienas laikrakstu publikāciju kvantitatīvā un kvalitatīvā analīze. Argumentatīvā diskursa analīzes pamatā ir Duglasa Valtona argumentatīvā diskursa analīzes pieeja. Pētījums atspoguļo arī divu diskursa koalīciju – liberālās un nacionāli konservatīvās – izmantotās stratēģijas. Analīze par laikrakstu publisko diskursu sniedz arī vispārīgāku informāciju par laikrakstiem kā argumentatīvā satura veidotājiem un diskursa platformas nodrošinātājiem.

“Public discourse on Russian television in the national daily newspapers of Latvia” is a research that studies the quality of public discourse. The study analyses discourse strategies used by public communicators when explaining the negative effects of Russian television as well as justifying its mitigation measures. Argumentative discourse strategies in the research are understood as argumentation schemes and rhetoric instruments. The argumentative discourse analysis is based on the argumentative discourse analysis approach developed by Douglas Walton. The research consists of theoretical and practical part. Theory provides insight into the most relevant theoretical concepts, provides an overview of the most relevant theoretical conclusions regarding principles of the public discourse and rational argumentation, it introduces argumentation analysis and argumentation scheme approach. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of the national daily newspapers of Latvia is done in the practical part of the research. The argumentative discourse analysis is based on the argumentative discourse analysis approach developed by Douglas Walton. The research reflects two discourse coalitions – liberal and national conservative – and the strategies they use. The analysis of the public discourse in the national newspapers also gives more general information regarding newspapers as the creators of the argumentative discourse un providers of the discourse platform.
