Possibilities of Fetal Surgery in Congenital Surgical Anomalies of Intrathoracic Organs – Literature Review

Abstract

Kopsavilkums Iedzimta diafragmas trūce, cistiska plaušu malformācija un pulmonāla sekvestrācija, kaut arī retas, ir starp visbiežāk sastopamajām prenatāli diagnosticējamajām un arī prenatāli ārstējamajām jaundzimušo slimībām. Augļa ķirurģiskajai ārstēšana sniedz ieguvumu attiecībā uz šīm slimībām, un tā uzlabo iznākumu.

Mērķi un uzdevumi: Šajā literatūras apskatā galvenā uzmanība pievērsta augļa ar augstāk minētajām slimībām ķirurģiskai ārstēšanai, salīdzinot ar postnatālu ārstēšanu.

Hipotēze: Prenatāla augļa ķirurģiska ārstēšana sniedz ieguvumu salīdzinājumā ar tikai postnatālu ārstēšanu.

Metodes: Šīs literatūras apskatā galvenā uzmanība pievērsta pētījumiem par minētajām slimībām. X avoti tika izpētīti, izmantojot uz pierādījumiem balstītu medicīnisku resursu avotus PubMed, Clinical Key, ProQuest, Elsevier un Primo. Literatūras apskats balstīts uz žurnāliem, zinātniskiem pētījumiem, publikācijām un medicīniskām grāmatām. Meklēšanā kā atslēgas vārdi tika izmantoti: „augļa ķirurģiska ārstēšana“, „iedzimta diafragmas trūce“, „cistiska plaušu malformācija“, „pulmonāla sekvestrācija“ un „prenatāla diagnostika …“

Abstract: Congenital diaphragmatic hernia, cystic lung malformation and pulmonary sequestration are among the most common, though rare, diseases in newborns that can be diagnosed prenatally and even be treated prior birth. Fetal surgery attributes in those diagnoses and improves the outcome.

Aims and Objectives: This literature review focuses on the benefits of fetal surgery in the above-named diseases compared to postnatal treatments.

Hypothesis: Prenatal fetal surgery has a benefit in congenital diaphragmatic hernia, cystic lung malformations and pulmonary sequesters, compared to postnatal treatments only.

Methods: This literature revies focuses on reviewing current studies on the named diseases. X sources were researched, while searching evidence-based medical resource data PubMed, Clinical Key, ProQuest, Elsevier and Primo. I base this revies on Journals, scientific research, publications and medical books. Among the keywords searched for were “fetal surgery”, “congenital diaphragmatic hernia”, “cystic lung malformation”, “pulmonary sequester”, and “prenatal diagnosis in..”.
