Abstract

Pēdējos gados ir novērotas būtiskas tendences un attīstība HIV medikamentozajā terapijā, kas iezīmē jaunās paaudzes cīņu pret šo vīrusu. Galvenās aktualitātes ietver gan terapijas efektivitātes uzlabošanu, gan pieejamības palielināšanu. [1] Pirmkārt, jaunie medikamenti un terapijas režīmi ir efektīvāki, samazinot HIV vīrusa replikāciju un palīdzot sasniegt vīrusa nekonstatējamu līmeni asinīs (vīrusa slodze). Tādējādi tie veicina ne tikai pacientu labklājību un dzīves ilgumu, bet arī samazina vīrusa transmisijas risku. Otrkārt, pastāv pieaugoša interese par novatoriskām terapijām, piemēram, ilgstošām injekcijām, implantātiem un jaunām zāļu kategorijām, kas var nodrošināt ērtākas un efektīvākas ārstēšanas iespējas. In recent years, significant trends and developments in HIV drug therapy have been observed, marking a new generation in the fight against this virus. The main current issues include both improving the effectiveness of therapy and increasing its availability. [1] Firstly, new drugs and treatment regimens are more effective at reducing HIV replication and helping to achieve undetectable levels of the virus in the blood (viral load). Thus, they contribute not only to patients' well-being and life expectancy but also reduce the risk of virus transmission. Second, there is growing interest in innovative therapies such as long-term injections, implants, and new drug classes that may provide more convenient and effective treatment options. These alternatives give patients more control and reduce the need for regular medication. In addition, there is a trend towards integrated health care access that includes not only HIV treatment but also addressing other related health problems, such as mental health or other infectious diseases. This can improve treatment compliance and overall patient well-being. [27] Digitization and technology development offers new opportunities for HIV therapy monitoring and patient support, including the use of mobile applications for therapy reminders, remote consultations with healthcare professionals, and data analysis for monitoring therapy effectiveness. [31] The trends and possibilities of the new generation of HIV drug therapy reflect both the progress of science and the centering of the needs and preferences of patients, in an effort to improve both the effectiveness of treatment and the quality of life of patients. These trends are a step forward in the fight against HIV and towards the global goal of eradicating the disease. The literature will review the current medications in HIV therapy, as well as the description of the latest medications, their mechanisms of action, and options. It is also important to identify future opportunities in HIV therapy and alternative methods of drug delivery.
