Diagnostic Procedures and Preventative Strategies of Occupational Asthma in Bakers

Abstract

Maizniekiem ir augsts profesionālās astmas attīstības risks, jo viņi ir pakļauti daudzu dažādu sensibilizējošu vielu iedarbībai. Aroda astmas diagnozes noteikšanai tiek izmantotas dažādas diagnostikas procedūras. Lai gan aroda astma ir plaši pētīta tēma un ir izstrādāti daudzi dažādi profilakses pasākumi, lai samazinātu maiznieku astmas risku, tā joprojām ir globāla problēma.

Pētnieciskā darba mērķis bija pārskatīt maiznieku aroda astmas diagnostikās procedūras, profilakses stratēģijas un ar tām saistītos izaicinājumus.

Maiznieku astmas profilakse un agrīna diagnostika ir saistīta ar slimības izpausmes samazināšanos. Tomēr maiznieku aroda astmas diagnostikas procedūrās un profilakses stratēģijās ir ierobežojumi. Turpmākajos pētījumos galvenā uzmanība jāpievērš atsevišķu preventīvo stratēģiju ietekmes novērtēšanai, lai visefektīvākajā veidā varētu samazināt slimības izpausmes.

Bakers are at high risk of developing occupational asthma since they are exposed to many different sensitizing agents. Different diagnostic procedures are used to establish a diagnosis of occupational asthma. Even though occupational asthma is a well-researched topic and many different preventative measures have been developed with the aim to reduce the risk of baker’s asthma, it continues to be a global issue.

The aim of the research work was to review the diagnostic procedures and the preventative strategies of occupational asthma in bakers, and the challenges associated with them.

Prevention and early diagnosis of baker´s asthma is related with a reduction in the disease burden. However, there are limitations in diagnostic procedures and preventative strategies of occupational asthma in bakers. Further studies need to focus on evaluating the effects of the individual preventative strategies to be able to decrease the disease burden in the most effective way.
