The aim of the study is to analyze tibial and fibular shaft fracture types in relation to injury mechanisms during the winter and summer periods. A retrospective analysis was carried out to achieve the aim of study, an analysis of the history of the disease for 83 patients (53 men and 30 women) treated for tibial and fibular shaft fractures at Hospital of Traumatology and Orthopaedics during 2013–2017 year period was performed. Thirty–four patients were injured during the summer season and forty–nine patients were injured during the winter season. Nine out of 83 patients had isolated tibial shaft fracures. Most common injury mechanism for patients with isolated tibial shaft fracture was motorcycle related injuries.Functional outcome was analyzed between seasons and there was no statistically significant difference found between seasons.en-UK
