Abstract: It is commonly known that the high blood pressure is considered to be one of the major risk factors for a number of cardiovascular and related diseases. Heart failure is a key role in the development of arterial hypertension. Many patients with arterial hypertension clinical research has shown that the risk of developing heart failure reliably reduced depending on the level of blood pressure reduction. However, arterial hypertension patient prognosis and clinical manifestations are dependent not only on the increase in blood pressure levels, but also on target organ damage. It is fairly clear picture of patient diagnosis, treatment tactics and prospects who have high blood pressure, some of the risk factors and target organ damage. By contrast, in patients with slightly elevated blood pressure, a small number of risk factors and no target organ damage have a lot of problems and issues. Patients without complications and a lower risk not put doctors and researchers' increased concern to. Therefore, clinical cardiology increasing importance of early (pre-clinical) diagnosis of heart disorders. Since echocardiography is one of the most popular and accessible, cheaper and non-invasive methods for the diagnosis of cardiac dysfunction, the new echocardiographic technologies, such as atrial myocardial deformation analysis allows assessment of cardiac function in another aspect. The new technology is a potentially attractive method for both evaluation of atrial mechanical function, which is prognostically important role in the development of heart disease. Therefore, the aim of this paper was to investigate ultrasound (myocardial deformation analysis) possible evaluation of left atrial deformation in healthy subjects (50 subjects) and in patients with arterial hypertension (52 patients). As well, early detection and assessment of left atrial deformation abnormalities in patients with arterial hypertension using new echocardiographic techniques.
