The topic of the qualification work is "Breastfeeding and the child's oral health". The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between breastfeeding and the child's oral health. In the theoretical part of the work, the influence of breastfeeding duration, technique, general health of mother and child, as well as the effect of nutrition on dental health was investigated. Studies on night breastfeeding, breastfeeding and correct child's bite and tooth brushing were also reviewed. In the practical part, sixty-four mothers of 2-4-year-old children were interviewed. The research method was quantitative - questionnaire. The hypothesis of the study was: if more often a child is breastfed at night, the greater is risk of caries. The research hypothesis was not confirmed - according to the results, the most common causes of caries are not brushing, not re-brushing or brushing with insufficiently fluoridated toothpaste. |
