Zobu higiēnista darbs ar autiskā spektra traucejumu pacientiem

Abstract

Dažkārt mums, zobārstniecības speciālistiem, nākas sastapties ar netipiskām situācijām darba ikdienā un kā viena no tām – mutes un zobu ārstēšana pacientiem ar autiskā spektra traucējumiem. Darbs veltīts autiskā spektra traucējumu izpētei, lai zobārstniecības speciālists spētu darboties atbilstoši pacienta veselības stāvoklim, kā arī ar anketas palīdzību tika noskaidrotas zobu higiēnista zināšanas par darbu ar autiskā spektra traucējumu pacientiem. Darba uzdevumos ietilpa izpētīt un analizēt literatūru par cilvēku ar autiskā spektra traucējumiem un tā īpatnībām un vajadzībām gan ikdienā, gan zobārstniecības aprūpē. Teorētiskajā daļā tika apskatīta būtiskā atšķirība starp autiskā spektra traucējumu sindromiem, kas spēj labāk iepazīstināt ar faktu par to, cik specifiski dažādi var būt šo traucējumu izpausmes. Tāpat teorētiskajā daļā tika izpētītas galvenās izpausmes autiskā spektra traucējumiem – verbālās un uzvedības īpatnības, sensorās īpatnības un sociālās saskarsmes grūtības. Pētījumā, uz 17 jautājumiem atbildēja 35 zobu higiēnisti, kas deva ieskatu par speciālistu zināšanām un klīnisko pieredzi darbā ar autiskā spektra traucējumu pacientiem. Pētījums palīdzēja mums nonākt pie secinājumiem, ka saskarsmē ar autisma spektra traucējuma pacientiem ir svarīgi pievērst uzmanību ķermeņa valodai, apkārtējai videi un personāla attieksmei, jo galvenie kairinātāji ir pieskārieni gaisma un troksnis.

Sometimes we, dental specialists, have to come across atypical situations in our daily work, and one of them is the treatment of the mouth and teeth of patients with autistic spectrum disorder. The work is dedicated to the study of autistic spectrum disorders, so that the dental specialist can act in accordance with the patient's health condition, and with the help of a questionnaire, we looked at the dental hygienist's knowledge of working with autistic spectrum disorder patients. The main tasks included researching and analyzing the literature about people with autism spectrum disorders, their characteristics and needs, both in everyday life and in dental care. The theoretical part discussed the essential difference between the syndromes of autistic spectrum disorders, which presented the fact of how specific and different these disorders can be. Also, in the theoretical part, there were investigated the main complications of autistic spectrum disorder - verbal and behavioral characteristics, sensory characteristics and difficulties in social communication. In the study, 17 questions were answered by 35 dental hygienists, which gave an insight into specialist knowledge and clinical experience in working with autistic spectrum disorder patients. The study helped us to come to the conclusion that it is important to pay attention to body language, the surrounding environment and the attitude of the staff when interacting with patients with autism spectrum disorder, as the main irritants are touch, light and noise.
