Vecāku zināšanas par piena zobu traumām

Abstract

Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis bija izpētīt piena zobu traumas un vecāku zināšanas par tām. Piena zobu traumas ir vienas no biežākajiem traumu veidiem bērniem pirmsskolas vecumā, ar tām saskārušies aptuveni trešā daļa iedzīvotāju. Biežākie cēloņi traumatiskiem zobu bojājumiem ir kritieni, kas lielākoties notiek mājās, kur visbiežāk bērnus pieskata vecāki, un sporta aktivitātes, kuru laikā īpaša uzmanība jāpievērš preventīviem pasākumiem, kā arī visos zobu traumu gadījumos īpaši svarīga ir vecāku iesaiste pirmās palīdzības sniegšanā, lai novērstu traumas ietekmi uz pastāvīgajiem zobiem un neradītu komplikācijas. Pētījumā piedalījās 82 pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu vecāki, kas nav saistīti ar zobārstniecību. Apmēram trešdaļai respondentu bērnu ir bijusi piena zobu trauma un, neskatoties uz to, ka vecāki ir zinoši un ka mājas vide statistiski zobu traumatisma riska ziņā ir augšgalā, visbiežāk šīs traumas notikušas tieši mājas apstākļos. Saistībā ar zobu traumu preventīviem pasākumiem, tikai aptuveni ceturtā daļa vecāku uzskata, ka sportojot noteikti būtu jālieto sejas/mutes aizsargi. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāja, ka kopumā vecāki nebūtu ļoti uztraukušies par piena zobu traumām, salīdzinot ar pastāvīgo zobu traumām, līdz ar to var secināt, un to arī apstiprina pētījuma rezultāti, ka vecāki, lai arī ir zinoši par rīcību piena zobu traumu gadījumā, nav pietiekami zinoši par piena zobu traumu negatīvo ietekmi uz pastāvīgajiem zobiem.

The theme of the qualification paper is: Parents' knowledge and behavior concerning traumatic dental injuries in primary teeth. The aim of the work was to research primary teeth injuries and parents' knowledge about them. Primary teeth traumatic injuries are one of the most frequent injuries in children of preschool age, about a third of the population have encountered them. The most common causes of traumatic dental damage are falls, which mostly occur at home, where children are most often looked after by parents, and sports activities, during which special attention should be paid to preventive measures, as well as in all cases of dental injuries, the involvement of parents in providing first aid is especially important to prevent the impact of trauma on the permanent teeth and not cause complications. 82 parents of preschool children who are not involved in dentistry participated in the study. The study concluded that about a third of the children of the respondents have had trauma to primary teeth and, despite the fact that parents are aware that the home environment is statistically at the top in terms of the risk of dental trauma, most often these traumas occurred at home. In relation to dental injury prevention measures, only about a quarter of parents believe that face/mouth guards should definitely be used during sports. The results of the study revealed that, in general, parents would not be very worried about injuries of primary teeth compared to injuries of permanent teeth, therefore it can be concluded, and this is also confirmed by the results of the study, that parents, although they are knowledgeable about actions in case of injuries of primary teeth, are not enough aware of the negative effects of primary teeth injuries on permanent teeth.
