Occupational Risk Factors and Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis

Abstract

Ceļa locītavas osteoartrīts ir hroniski progresējoša veselu locītavu slimība, kuras izplatība visā pasaulē joprojām pieaug. Movements like squatting, kneeling, and lifting heavy weights in occupations like farmer, construction worker, floor layer have shown an increased risk for the development of knee osteoarthritis. A knee arthroplasty remains the “Gold Standard” in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, but different non-surgical treatment approaches are very promising.
