Most frequent oral mucosa pathologies in newborns, infants and toddlers

Abstract

KOPSAVILKUMS

Mērķis: Šī zinātniskā darba mērķis ir izpētīt biežāk sastopamās mutes gļotādas patoloģijas jaundzimušajiem, zīdaiņiem un maziem bērniem, kā arī tās klīniskās attīstības izpausmes kopā ar atbilstošām ārstēšanas iespējām un iespējāmo profilaksi.

Uzdevumi: pievērst uzmanību jaundzimušo, zīdaiņu un mazu bērnu mutes gļotādas rūpīgai izmeklēšanai. Svarīgi ir spēt identificēt slimības un to cēloņus agrīnā sākumā, izslēgt tās no sistēmiskām slimībām un veidot izpratni apvienojumā ar zināšanām par biežāk sastopamajām patoloģijām.

Materiāli un metodes: Pētījumi un gadījumi tika identificēti un atlasīti analīzei pēc vairākiem kritērijiem. Svarīgākie bija: 1) vecums, 2) turpmāk uzskaitīto atslēgvārdu iekļaušana, 3) angļu vai vācu valoda, 4) sistemātiski pārskati, kā arī 5) ne vecāki par 20 gadiem.

Izslēgšanas kritēriji, kas tika piemēroti, lai nodrošinātu šī zinātniskā darba precizitāti, bija šādi: 1) personu vecums nebija vecāks par mazu bērnu vecumu, 2) pētījumi vai gadījumu apraksti bija vecāki par 20 gadiem, 3) pētījumi vai gadījumu apraksti neietvēra vismaz vienu no atslēgas vārdiem, 4) nebija angļu vai vācu valodā un 5) nebija gļotādas patoloģijas.

Meklēšana tika veikta no 2022. gada janvāra līdz 2022. gada aprīlim, izmantojot dažādas datubāzes, jo īpaši: PubMed, ScienceDirect un NCBI.

Secinājums: Jaundzimušo, zīdaiņu un mazu bērnu mutes gļotādas patoloģijas prasa vispusīgu novērtēšanu un padziļinātas zināšanas, lai precīzi diagnosticētu slimību, kā arī noteiktu ideālo ārstēšanas kursu.

ABSTRACT Objectives: The objective of this scientific thesis is the study of the most common oral mucosal pathologies in new-borns, infants and toddlers. Furthermore, development of its disease with clinical manifestations along with corresponding treatment options and prevention of the individual findings.

Aim: To draw attention to the thorough investigation of the oral mucosa in new-borns, infants and toddlers. It is important to be able to identify diseases and their underlying causes at the early onset, to exclude them from a systemic disease and to spread awareness combined with knowledge about the most frequent oral mucosal pathologies.

Materials and methods: Studies and cases were identified and selected for analysis according to multiple criteria. Most important was 1) the age, 2) including the keywords listed below, 3) English or German language, 4) systematic reviews as well as 5) not older than 20 years.

Exclusion criteria which were applied to ensure the accuracy with this scientific thesis were: 1) the age of the individuals not being older than a toddlers age, 2) studies or case reports older than 20 years, 3) studies or case reports not including at least one of the keywords, 4) not in English or German language, and 5) non mucosal pathologies.

The time of search was carried out between the months of January 2022 and April 2022, with the use of a range of different databases, especially; PubMed, ScienceDirect and NCBI.

Conclusion: Oral mucosal pathologies in new-borns, infants and toddlers require outmost evaluation and in-depth knowledge to precisely diagnose the disease as well as the determination of the ideal course of treatment.
