Pētnieciskajā darbā analizēta legionelozes epidemioloģija Latvijā laika periodā no 2020.
līdz 2024. gadam. Darba mērķis bija izvērtēt saslimstības raksturojošos faktorus, kā arī izpētīt
ūdens paraugos konstatētās Legionella spp. klātbūtnes saistību ar vides parametriem, reģionu
un parauga ņemšanas vietu. Tika izmantota retrospektīva datu analīze, ietverot gan klīnisko,
gan vides datu kopas, kuras tika apkopotas no SPKC infekciju uzraudzības sistēmas.
Galvenie rezultāti liecina, ka visaugstākā incidence konstatēta Rīgas reģionā un
vīriešiem vecuma grupā virs 65 gadiem. Legionella spp. tika konstatēta 50,1% karstā ūdens un
13,7% aukstā ūdens paraugu. Karstajam ūdenim novērota vāja negatīva korelācija starp
temperatūru un baktēriju klātbūtni (r = -0.068). Statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības fiksētas arī starp
reģioniem un gadu sadalījumu (p<0.001).
Pētījums apstiprina nepieciešamību pēc aktīvas profilakses, regulāras vides
monitorēšanas un datu integrācijas starp klīnisko un vides uzraudzību. Darbs sniedz
rekomendācijas veselības aprūpes un sabiedriskās drošības uzlabošanai.
This research paper analyzes the epidemiology of legionellosis in Latvia from 2020 to 2024. The main objective was to assess the characteristics of the disease and to examine the correlation between Legionella spp. presence in water samples and environmental parameters, including location and region. A retrospective analysis was conducted using clinical and environmental data obtained from the national infectious disease surveillance system. The results show that the highest incidence was observed in the Riga region and among men aged 65 and older. Legionella spp. was found in 50.1% of hot water and 13.7% of cold water samples. A weak negative correlation (r = -0.068) was found between hot water temperature and the presence of the bacteria. Statistically significant differences were also detected across years and regions (p < 0.001). The findings highlight the need for preventive action, including regular monitoring of water systems and improved data integration between clinical and environmental surveillance. The study offers recommendations to enhance public health safety and infrastructure resilience.
