Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir “Ilgtspējas ideju atainojums modes fotogrāfijā, balstoties apģērbu otrreizējas izmantošanas iespējās”. Darba izstrādes mērķis ir, balstoties teorētiskās atziņās par ilgtspējas idejām modes fotogrāfijā un vizuālajā kultūrā, izstrādāt modes fotosēriju, kas vizualizētu lietotu apģērbu un izejmateriālu otrreizējas izmantošanas iespējas, kā arī izveidot informatīvu mājas lapu, kas nodotu darba galvenās atziņas sabiedrībai.

Bakalaura teorētiskā bāze sastāv no trīs pamatnodaļām. Pirmajā pamatnodaļā, kas ietver divas apakšnodaļas, tiek nodefinēti modes industrijas procesi un tās ietekme uz klimatu. Šajā daļa tiek parādīta modes industrija kāda tā ir iekļaujot pozitīvos aspektus, taču akcentējot ēnas puses un to ietekmi uz sabiedību un vidi. Darba otrā nodaļa sastāv no četrām apakšnodaļām, kurās tiek aprakstītas trīs ekonomiskās sistēmas kategorijas, kurām būtu jāmaina paradumi un darbības kartība, lai sasniegtu vides glābšanas mērķus. Darba trešā nodaļa fokusējās uz modes fotogrāfijas identificēšanu un aprakstīšanu. Šajā nodaļā autors identificē fotogrāfijas stilu, ar kura palīdzību tiek veidota modes fotosērija. Teorētiskajā daļas izstrādē tika izmantoti vairāk nekā 30 literatūras avoti.

Darba rezultātā tika radīta augstvērtīga redakcionālās modes fotogrāfijas fotosērija no lietotiem apģērba gabaliem un aksesuāriem. Fotosērijas un darba atziņas tiek apkopotas izveidotā informatīvā mājaslapā. Radītā modes fotosērija popularizē lietotu apģērbu kultūru un akcentē faktu, ka otrreiz lietotais apģērbs ir ne tikai modīgs, bet arī izdevīgāks vienkāršam patērētājam kā ātrās modes piedāvātās preces.The topic of the bachelor's thesis is “Sustainability ideas in fashion photography based on the reuse of clothing”. The goal of this project is to develop a photo series, based on theoretical concepts of sustainable ideas within fashion photography and visual culture in order to visualize second-hand clothing and raw material potential for reusability. Furthermore, develop an informative webpage that will convey these concepts and conclusions to the public.

The theoretical basis of this bachelor thesis is divided in three main secions. First part contains two subsections, that define processes that guide the fashion industry and its negative affects on the climate. This section depicts the fashion industry as it is including the positive aspects, however an emphasizes is placed on the negative impacts on both society and the climate. The second section consists of four subsections. These subsections contain descriptions of three economic categories that must go through substantial change to become more environmentally friendly. The third section focuses on describing fashion photography. In this part the author identifies the style of fashion photography that is used to create the fashion photo series. In the creation of the theoretical part of this thesis more than 30 individual pieces of literature were used.

This practical work resulted in the creation of a high quality editorial photo series that utilized second hand clothing and accessories. The results are compiled and displayed in a specially created informative webpage. The photo series aims to popularize second hand clothing culture and empathizes that used clothing is not only stylish but also cheaper for the average consumer even more than fast fashion products.
