Pētījuma mērķis: Noskaidrot sportistu zināšanas un rīcību šķidruma uzņemšanā un tā atjaunošanā treniņa procesā.
Pētījuma teorētiskā bāze: Balstīta uz zinātnisko literatūru par šķidruma nozīmi organisma funkcionēšanā, dažādiem šķidruma uzņemšanas avotiem, šķidruma uzņemšanas nozīme treniņa procesā.
Darba saturs: Pētījums sastāv no lapas pusēm, no literatūras apskata, no praktiskās daļas. Kopā tika izmantoti 19 literatūras avoti, 17 angļu valodā un 2 latviešu valodā.
Pētījuma jautājums: Kādas ir sportistu zināšanas un rīcība šķidruma uzņemšanā un tā atjaunošanā treniņa procesā?
Pētījuma metode: Pētījuma praktiskā daļa tika uzsākta pēc RSU Ētikas komitejas atļaujas saņemšanas (sk.1.pielikumu). Pētījumā pielietota kvantitatīvā metode un par instrumentu tika izmantota autora veidota anketa (sk.2.pielikumu). Anketas tika dalītas y un z sporta klubos pēc atļauju saņemšanas. Iegūtie rezultāti parāda, ka zināšanas ir nepietiekamas un rīcība ir neatbilstoša. Respondenti nav informēti par dažādiem šķidruma uzņemšanas veidiem un avotiem. Sportistiem vajadzētu izglītoties saistībā ar laika periodiem, kuros jāuzņem šķidrums, pārsvarā respondentu rīcība atbilst zināšanām, taču tās ir nepilnīgas.
Izdarīti 5 secinājumi, iegūta atbilde uz pētījuma jautājumu.

Theoretical basis of the research: Based on the scientific literature on the role of fluid in functioning of the body, various sources of fluid intake, the role of fluid intake in the training process. Research work content: The research consists of pages, a review of the literature, a practical part. A total of 19 literature sources were used, 17 in English and 2 in Latvian. Research question: What is the knowledge and action of athletes in fluid intake and it’s restoration during training process? Research method: The practical part of the research was started after receiving the permission of the RSU Ethics Committee. (see annex nr.1). The quantitative method was used in the research and a questionnaire created by the author was used as a tool (see annex nr.2) Questionnaires were distributed to y and z sports clubs after obtaining permits from these sports clubs. The obtained results show that the knowledge and actions do not meet the recommendations. Respondents are not aware of the different ways and sources of fluid intake. Athletes should be educated about the time periods during which they need to drink fluids. 5 conclusions have been made, answers to the research question have been obtained.
