Abstract
Šegrēna sindromam ir klasiskie simptomi- sausa mute un acis, kas ir glandulārās sindroma izpausmes. Taču sindromam var būt ļoti variabls ekstraglandulāro manifestāciju klāsts un līdz 20% pacientu, kā pirmās un vienīgās prezentācijas ir tieši ekstraglandulārie simptomi. Šī iemesla dēļ pacientam bieži ir aizkavēta diagnostika un atbilstoša terapija, un tas var novest pie slimības komplikācijām, kas var būt dzīvību apdraudošas. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt Šegrēna sindroma simptomātiku pacientiem Latvijā.
Šajā pētījumā tika apkopoti dati par pacientiem ar Šegrēna sindromu. Tika noskaidrots sieviešu vidējais saslimšanas vecums. No ievāktajiem datiem varēja noskaidrot vidējo laiku no pirmo simptomu parādīšanās brīža līdz diagnozes precizēšanai. Pētījuma gaitā tika ievākti dati par Šegrēna sindroma simptomiem un izpausmēm un tika noskaidrots to biežums Latvijas pacientiem. Tika atrastas dažās korelācijas starp simptomiem un pacientu vecumu. Veicot pētījumu tika pievērsta uzmanība arī imunoloģiskajās izmaiņās un to biežumam pacientu vidū. Kā arī tika ievākti dati par D vitamīna līmeni asinīs pacientiem ar Šegrēna sindromu.
Šegrēna sindroms ir salīdzinoši bieži sastopams, tam ir ļoti daudzveidīgs simptomu klāsts un nereti sindroms izpaužas ar tam neklasisko manifestāciju. Tāpēc būtu jāpievērš klīnicistu uzmanība Šegrēna sindroma ekstraglandulāro simptomu klāstam un komplikāciju riska faktoriem.
Sjögren syndrome has some classic symptoms - dryness of mouth and eyes - those are glandular manifestations of the disease. Nevertheless, syndrome has wide spectrum of extraglandular manifestations and up to 20% it is the only and primary symptoms of disease. That is the reason for delayed diagnosis and late appropriate treatment and can lead to life-threatening complications of the disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the symptoms of Sjogren syndrome in patients in Latvia. This study collected data from patients with Sjögren syndrome. The average age of the women was calculated. From the obtained data it was possible to find out the average time from the first appearance of symptoms to diagnosis. This study focused on symptoms and manifestations of Sjögren's syndrome and the frequency of these indicators was determined. Some correlations were found between symptoms and patient age. The study also looked on immunological changes and their frequency among patients. Information about blood vitamin D levels were also collected. Sjögren syndrome is relatively common, has a very diverse range of symptoms, and often manifests itself with a non-classical way. Therefore, clinicians should be aware of the range of extraglandular symptoms of Sjögren's syndrome and the risk factors for complications.
