Šis darbs ir literatūras apskats par deģeneratīviem temporomandibulāriem traucējumiem, to izcelšanos, patoģenēzi, diferenciāldiagnozi un ārstēšanu. Kopumā tiek apskatīti seši deģeneratīvi traucējumi, kā arī apskatīti sistēmiski deģeneratīvie traucējumi un to ietekme uz temporomandibulāro locītavu. Traucējumi, kas lokāli ietekmē temporomandibulāro locītavu un tiek apskatīti ir: osteoartrīts, kondilīze / idiopātiska kondilāra resorbcija, osteonekroze, atslāņojošais osteohondrīts, audzēji un sinoviālā hondromatoze.
This thesis is a literature review on the topic of degenerative temporomandibular disorders, their aetiology, pathogenesis, differential diagnosis and treatment. A total of six local degenerative disorders are reviewed and the systemic degenerative disorders and their effect on the temporomandibular joint are also reviewed. The disorders which locally affect the temporomandibular joint and that are reviewed are osteoarthritis, condylysis/idiopathic condylar resorption, osteonecrosis, osteochondritis dissecans, neoplasms and synovial chondromatosis.
