Abstract
Vērtējot katra domēna iekšējo saskaņotību – Kronbaha alfa koeficients robežās no 0,738 līdz 0,941.
Title of the thesis: Reliability for Latvian version of primary caregiver's questionnaire for assessing the quality of life of 4-12 aged children with cerebral palsy. Research problem: There is no specific tool available in Latvian to assess the quality of life of children with cerebral palsy from the perspective of primary caregivers. Target of the thesis: Translate a primary caregiver's questionnaire for assessing the quality of life of 4-12 aged children with cerebral palsy (CP QOL-Child PCR) into Latvian and check the reliability of the translation. Research methods: A quantitative, non-experimental study was performed. The study involved 20 primary caregivers whose children were aged 4 to 12 years and whose children had been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. To check the reliability of the Latvian translation of CP QOL-Child PCR, the internal consistency of the questionnaire and the reliability of the test-retest were determined. Research tool: Latvian version of the evaluation tool CP QOL-Child PCR. Results: The total Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the questionnaire indicates excellent internal consistency (α 0.963). Assessing the internal coherence of each domain – Cronbach's alpha coefficient in the range from 0.738 to 0.941. When determining the reliability of the test-retest, the value of the total interclass correlation coefficient of the questionnaire indicates excellent reliability (ICC 0.993). Also, when evaluating the interclass correlation coefficient of each domain, excellent reliability is observed – ICC range from 0.925 to 0.988. Conclusions: The Latvian version of the CP QOL-Child PCR is plausible, but further research is needed to perform a reliability check with a wider range of respondents.
