palīgiem un aprūpētājiem.
Aktualitāte. Veselības aprūpes darbinieki ir lielākais darbaspēks pasaulē un 28 miljoni
no tiem, vairāk nekā 50%, ir māsas. Kopā ar māsu palīgiem un aprūpētājiem, māsas nodrošina
ikdienas aprūpi un veic fiziski un psihoemocionāli smagu darbu. Muskulokeletālās sistēmas
traucējumu izplatība var svārstīties no 33,0 % līdz 88,0 % māsu vidū visā pasaulē. Ir pieradīts,
ka fiziskās aktivitātes var uzlabot veselību un mazināt muskuloskeletālas sāpes, bet lielākā daļa
no māsām veic maz vai neveic nekādas fiziskās aktivitātes.
Mērķis. Izpētīt, kā fiziskās aktivitātes līmenis ietekmē muskuloskeletālu traucējumu
sastopamību māsām, māsu palīgiem un aprūpētājiem.
Metodes. Pētījumā tika iekļauti 84 māsu, māsu palīgu un aprūpētāju profesijas pārstāvji,
kuri atbilda atlases kritērijiem. Katrs pētījuma dalībnieks aizpildīja anketu, kurā iekļauti
jautājumi par antropometriskajiem datiem, muskuloskeletālās sistēmas sāpēm (tika izvērtētas
ar Ziemeļvalstu kustību un balsta sistēmas (Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ)
aptaujas palīdzību) un fiziskām aktivitātem (izvērtētas ar Internacionālo fizisko aktivitāšu
aptaujas īso versiju (IPAQ-short form))
Rezultāti. 91,7 % (N= 77) pētījuma dalībnieku pēdējā gada laikā ir izjutuši MSS
slimības simptomus, un 61,9 % (N = 52) ir izjutuši simptomus pēdējo 7 dienu laikā. Biežākās
sāpju lokalizācijas dalībnieku vidū bija muguras lejasdaļa (69,1 %), kakls (60,7 %) un pleci
(47,6 %). Saskaņā ar PVO ieteikumiem gandrīz puse (48,8 %) dalībnieku bija fiziski aktīvi, bet
22,6 % bija kritiski zems fizisko aktivitāšu līmenis (< 600 METs nedēļā), kas ir nepietiekams
veselības uzturēšanai un var būt riska faktors muskuloskeletālu sāpju attīstībai. Pētījuma dati
liecina, ka pastāv vāja, bet statistiski nozīmīga negatīva saistība starp fizisko aktivitāšu apjomu
un sāpju zonu skaitu – pieaugot fiziskajām aktivitātēm, sāpju skaits ķermenī samazinās.
Secinājumi. Iegūtie pētījuma rezultāti apstiprina, ka veselības aprūpes personāla,
tostarp māsu, māsu palīgu un aprūpētāju vidū, ir ļoti izplatītas muskuloskeletālās sistēmas
traucējumi. Turklāt identificēta statistiski nozīmīga negatīva korelācija starp fiziskās aktivitātes
līmeni un muskuloskeletālu sāpju simptomu izteiktību, kas izpaužas kā mazāks sāpju skarto
anatomisko zonu skaits.
Title. Physical activity and musculoskeletal disorders in nurses, nursing assistants and carers. Actuality. Healthcare workers are the largest labour force in the world and 28 million of them, more than 50%, are nurses. Together with nursing assistants and caregivers, nurses provide daily care and perform physically and psycho-emotionally demanding work. The prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders can range from 33.0% to 88.0% among nurses worldwide. There is evidence that physical activity can improve health and reduce musculoskeletal pain, but most nurses do little or no physical activity. Objective. To investigate how physical activity levels affect the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in nurses, nursing assistants and caregivers. Methods. The study included 84 members of the nursing, nursing assistant and carer profession who met the selection criteria. Each participant completed a questionnaire including questions on anthropometric data, musculoskeletal pain (assessed by the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ)) and physical activity (assessed by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-short form (IPAQ-short form)) Results. 91.7% (N = 77) of study participants had experienced symptoms of MSS in the past year and 61.9% (N = 52) had experienced symptoms in the past 7 days. The most frequent pain localisations among participants were low back (69.1%), neck (60.7%) and shoulders (47.6%). According to WHO recommendations, almost half (48.8%) of the participants were physically active, but 22.6% had critically low levels of physical activity (< 600 METs/week), which is insufficient for health maintenance and may be a risk factor for the development of musculoskeletal pain. The study data show that there is a weak but statistically significant negative relationship between the amount of physical activity and the number of painful areas: as physical activity increases, the number of painful areas in the body decreases. Conclusions. The results confirm that musculoskeletal disorders are highly prevalent among healthcare workers, including nurses, nursing assistants and caregivers. In addition, a statistically significant negative correlation was identified between the level of physical activity and the severity of musculoskeletal pain symptoms, manifested by a lower number of anatomical areas affected by pain.
