Operāciju zāles komandas novērtējums par pacienta drošības klimatu Rīgas slimnīcu operāciju zālēs

Abstract

Drošības klimata novērtējums arvien vairāk tiek atzīts par svarīgu faktoru veselības aprūpes kvalitātes uzlabošanā, īpaši operāciju zālēs. (Ruben et al, 2018). Ķirurģiska pacienta drošība ir vispasaules sabiedrības veselības problēma, par to liek domāt pieejamie dati, kas pierāda, ka aptuveni 10%, slimnīcās uzņemto pacientu sastopas ar nevēlamu ietekmi uz veselību, vai pat nāvi, un to ir veicinājuši neparedzēti nelaimes gadījumi vai nevēlami notikumi, kas radušies veselības aprūpes dēļ. (Ruben et al, 2018). Katra persona faktus uztver atšķirīgi. Tas kā viens indivīds redz konkrētus faktus, nebūt nenozīmē, ka arī cits tos redz tāpat. (Bernstein, 2019). Bakalaura darba „Ķirurgu un operāciju māsu novērtējums par pacienta drošības klimatu operāciju zālē” mērķis ir noskaidrot ķirurgu un operāciju māsu novērtējumu par pacienta drošības klimatu operāciju zālē. Kā respondenti tika izvēlēti ķirurgi un operāciju māsas. Izvirzītā pētījuma hipotēze - ķirurgu un operāciju māsu novērtējums par pacienta drošības klimatu operāciju zālē ir atšķirīgs no profesijas un dažādiem sociāli demogrāfiskiem faktoriem. Kā pētniecības instruments tika izmantota ir anketa, paredzēta drošības klimata novērtēšanai operāciju blokā, kuru izstrādājusi pētnieku grupa Braiena Sekstona un Roberta Helmreiča vadībā Teksasas universitātē, kas sniedz informāciju par respondenta novērtējumu par pacienta drošības klimatu. Noskaidrojot ķirurgu un operāciju māsu novertējumu par pacienta drošības klimatu operāciju zālē izvirzītā hipotēze neapstiprinājās – netika iegūti statistiski nozīmīgi dati, kas pierādītu, ka ķirurgu un operāciju māsu novērtējums par pacientu drošības klimatu ir atšķirīgs no profesijas un dažādiem sociāldemogrāfiskiem datiem.

Approximately 10% of patients admitted in hospitals suffer unexpected accidents or adverse events derived from health care causing to undesirable effects on their health or even death. These data suggest that surgical patient safety is a global public health problem (Ruben et al, 2018). What one person sees or feels is not the same as what other perceives. It is possible that one person views certain facts in one way, which may be different from the way other viewer sees the same (Bernstein, 2019). The aim of the bachelor’s thesis „Assessment of surgeons and operating nurses on the patient’s safety climate in the operating room” is to find out the assessment of surgeons and operating nurses on the patient’s safety climate in the operating room. The study was conducted electronically, surgeons and operating room nurses were selected as respondents. The hypothesis of the reaserch – the assessment of surgeons and nurses about the patient’s safety climate in the operating room is different by the profession and socio-demographic factors. The used research tool was questionnaire for safety climate measurements in operation room, developed by a team of researchers led by Brian Sexton and Robert Helmreich at the University of Texas, which provides information about respondent’s assessment of the patient’s safety climate. Finding out the assessment of surgeons and nurses about patient’s safety climate in the operating room, the hypothesis was not confirmed – no statistically significant data were obtained, which would prove that the assessment of surgeons and nurses about the patient safety climate is different from the profession and various socia-demographic data.
