Bakalaura darba tēma: Momentuzņēmumu sērijas “Stroika” slaidrādes izveide. Radošais darbs.
Darba zinātniskais vadītājs: Prof. Dr. paed. Alnis Stakle
The author : Rolands Boss Bachelor thesis topic : Production of slideshow “Stroika” in snapshot aesthetics. Creative work. Scientific supervisor of the thesis : Prof. Dr. Paed. Alnis Stakle. Thesis goal: To base the theoretical findings about the photographic media paradigm shift and the aesthetics of a snapshot. Also to develop "Stroika" slideshow for a personal exhibition based on authors custom photo series. As new findings become more relevant in art, more authors decide to use snapshot aesthetics in their work. Vernacular photography has freed photographic media from canons and traditions, meanwhile creating snapshot aesthetics. This practice has become an object of a study and an expression of artistic means, witch is used by known authors from previous generations and authors from current time. Snapshot practice is full of freedom and expressional opportunities. It is both, easily accessible for artist who research and highlight recent events, as well as for amateur photographers who wish to memorise things they find interesting. Foto series "Stroika" is a informative slideshow of an actualization of a current problem, portrayal of social problems and life in migration, in search of the best economic situation. Series are based on the author's experience. Life in Norway and working in construction while going through this situation personally and being a part of the system, time and place. Meaning behind the name "STROIKA" comes from everyday use when construction is being done " po sovetski", reflecting builders "soviet way of working" with their values and so with their existence. In the thesis author will be reflecting on finding himself throughout photography and life abroad, while sharing his personal experience in photography from his private life in Norway from the year 2007 until 2015 all while working as a builder. The structure of the bachelor thesis is made of introduction, two parts, conclusion, discussion, the list of used literature and attachments. First chapter consists of describing the theoretical part : the paradigm change in photo media, snapshot aesthetic, highlighted practitioners, definition of identity concept, as well as the evaluation of a slideshow and photo book creation principles. In the second part author will introduce the thesis goal, defining the target audience, and describing creative idea and it's implementation process. The thesis will be summed up with a part of the discussion and conclusions. The work is presented in a total of 47 pages. 36 literature sources were used in the work and 5 appendices were added.
