Abstract
Plastmasas ir kļuvušas par nepieciešamību, no kuras nevar izvairīties kopš 1950. gada, kad tās pirmo reizi tika ražotas komerciālai lietošanai, neskatoties uz to, ka to izmantošana nav īpaši vēlama. Lai gan bija vajadzīgs zināms laiks, līdz cilvēki saprata, ka plastmasas negatīvā ietekme pārsniedz to labvēlīgo ietekmi, cilvēki galu galā varēja gūt labumu no plastmasas dažādos veidos.
Plastics have developed into a necessity that cannot be avoided since 1950, when they were first made for commercial usage, despite the fact that their use is not very desirable. Although it took some time for individuals to realize that the negative effects of plastics outweighed their beneficial effects, humans were ultimately able to gain from plastics in a variety of ways. Plastics are the source of microplastics (MPs) and Nano plastics (NPs). When seen from a global perspective, the prevalence of microplastics in cosmetics and other personal care products is not a big concern. So now that the literature study is complete, it will concentrate on the effects of MPs and NPs in personal care and cosmetic items. Complete eradication of MPs and NPs is extremely difficult and costly. Therefore, measures must be taken to assure the usage of naturally biodegradable materials as opposed to plastics. The government must enact stringent regulations and work intensively on quality control. Micro and nano plastics must be brought to the attention of the public.
