Abstract

Implantoloģija ir zobārstniecības specialitāte, kura pastāvīgi attīstās, jaunāki materiāli rada interesi visā protezēšanas un ķirurģijas jomā. Cirkonijs ir materiāls, ko tagad biežāk izmanto zobu nomaiņai estētiskajā zobārstniecībā. Kopumā cirkonija implanti ir estētiskāki salīdzinājumā ar titāna implantiem. Dažādi pētījumi ir parādījuši, ka cirkonija implantu veiktspēja ir salīdzināma ar titāna implantiem un statistiski dažas īpašības ir vēl labākas. Pētījuma mērķis bija pievērsties šīm cirkonija oksīda implantu īpatnībām un parādīt, ka cirkonija oksīds ir ievērojama alternatīva titānam. Šajā darbā īsumā ir izskaidrotas implanta īpašības un cirkonija īpašības, lai tās labāk izprastu, kā arī izpētītas cirkonija implantu fizikālās īpašības dažādu apstākļu ietekmē. Pētījumā tika ņemtas vērā arī pacientu atsauksmes, lai novērtētu viņu apmierinātību ar implantiem, implantācijas procesu, kā arī gala rezultātu. Informācija šī darba izstrādei tika meklēta pēc atslēgas vārdiem pēdējo 10 gadu laika periodā, taču, tā kā daudzi raksti attiecas uz vecākām publikācijām, ir iekļauti arī daži no tiem.Implantology is a constantly developing specialty of dentistry, newer materials are rising interests throughout the prosthetic and surgical field. Zirconia is a material that is now more frequently used for tooth replacement in aesthetic dentistry. In general consent zirconia implants are aesthetically more pleasant in comparison to titanium implants. Different studies have shown that zirconia implant performance is comparable with titanium implants and statistically some features are even better. The aim of the study was to address those specific features of zirconia implants and to show that zirconia is a considerable alternative to titanium. This thesis shortly explains properties of an implant and characteristics of zirconia, to allow a better understanding, additionally, physical properties of zirconia implants under alterations are investigated. Patients’ degree of satisfaction was included to correspondingly approach patients’ perception. This literature review was sought by keywords, either in combination or separately in a time frame of ten years, but as many articles refer to older publications, a few of those have been included, too.
