Mūziklu evolūcijas analīze kino: no klasiskajiem piemēriem līdz mūsdienu tendencēm.

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir “Mūziklu evolūcijas analīze kino: no klasiskajiem piemēriem līdz mūsdienu tendencēm”.Šī darba galvenais mērķis ir izzināt, kā mūziklu žanrs ir attīstījies laika gaitā – sākot no tā klasiskajiem paraugiem līdz mūsdienu interpretācijām.Darbā tiek apskatīta mūziklu attīstība vairākos kino vēstures posmos, analizējot gan stila un tematikas izmaiņas, gan tehnoloģiju un sabiedrības gaumes ietekmi uz žanra evolūciju. Teorētiskajā daļā tiek izskatīti mūziklu vēsturiskie un estētiskie aspekti, aplūkoti Holivudas zelta laikmeta (1930.-1950. gadi) mūzikli, kā arī to izmaiņas 20. gadsimta otrajā pusē un 21. gadsimtā.Tiek pētīta muzikālā teātra ietekme uz kino, sociālkulturālie faktori, kas ietekmējuši mūziklu naratīvo struktūru, stilistiku un tehniskos risinājumus. Darba praktiskajā daļā tiek izmantota kvalitatīvā kontentanalīze, lai pētītu 14 atlasītas mūzikli, tostarp “Džeza dziedātājs”(1927),“Mūzikas skaņas”(1965),“Breolīns”(1978), “Čikāga”(2002),“La La Land: Kalifornijas sapņi”(2016),“Izklaides karalis”(2017), “Hamiltons”(2020),“Augstumos”(2021),“Tik, Tik... Bums!”(2021)“Ļaunā”(2024) u.c. Šo filmu analīzē tiek pievērsta uzmanība to naratīvajai uzbūvei, vizuālajai estētikai, muzikālajiem elementiem, kā arī to atbilstībai laikmeta sociālkulturālajam kontekstam. Bakalaura darbā tiek uzdoti trīs galvenie pētnieciskie jautājumi: 1. Kā mūziklu žanrs ir attīstījies no klasiskā Holivudas laikmeta līdz mūsdienām, un kādi faktori ir ietekmējuši šo attīstību? 2. Kādas ir galvenās atšķirības starp klasiskajiem un mūsdienu mūzikliem attiecībā uz to tematiku, stilistiku un vēstījumu? 3. Kā mūsdienu mūzikli reflektē sociālās un kultūras pārmaiņas, salīdzinot ar klasiskajiem mūzikliem? Mūziklu žanrs jau no skaņas kino pirmsākumiem ir bijis svarīgs kino attīstības elements, atspoguļot laikmeta noskaņas un sabiedrības pārmaiņas.Mūsdienās digitālās tehnoloģijas un jauni filmu formāti ir radījuši jaunas iespējas mūziklam, padarot to arvien dinamiskāku un pievilcīgāku plašai auditorijai.Šis pētījums sniedz dziļāku izpratni par mūziklu attīstību un to nozīmi kino vēsturē, kā arī to vietu mūsdienu populārajā kultūrā. Darbs sastāv no teorētiskās un praktiskās daļas.Teorētisko daļu veido četras nodaļas un desmit apakšnodaļas, savukārt praktiskajā daļā ir divas nodaļas un sešas apakšnodaļas. Darbam ir ievads, secinājumi, nobeigums, informatīvās literatūras saraksts un pielikumi.The title of the bachelor's thesis is “Analysis of the Evolution of Musicals in Cinema: From Classical Examples to Contemporary Trends”.The main goal of this thesis is to explore how the genre of musicals has developed over time, from its classical examples to contemporary interpretations. The thesis examines the development of musicals in several stages of cinema history, analyzing both changes in style and theme, and the influence of technology and public taste on the evolution of the genre. The theoretical part examines the historical and aesthetic aspects of musicals, examines the musicals of the golden age of Hollywood (1930s-1950s), as well as their changes in the second half of the 20th century and the 21st century. The influence of musical theater on cinema, sociocultural factors that have influenced the narrative structure, stylistics and technical solutions of musicals are studied. The practical part of the thesis uses qualitative content analysis to study 14 selected musical films, including “The Jazz Singer”(1927),“The Sound of Music”(1965),“Grease”(1978), “Chicago”(2002),“La La Land”(2016),“The Greatest Showman”(2017),“Hamilton”(2020), “In the Heights”(2021) “Tick, Tick... Boom!”(2021),“Wicked”(2024), etc. The analysis of these films focuses on their narrative structure, visual aesthetics, musical elements, as well as their relevance to the sociocultural context of the era. The bachelor's thesis asks three main research questions: 1. How has the musical genre developed from the classic Hollywood era to the present day, and what factors have influenced this development? 2. What are the main differences between classic and modern musicals in terms of their themes, stylistics and message? 3. How do modern musical films reflect social and cultural changes compared to classic musicals? The musical genre has been an important element of cinema development since the beginning of sound cinema, reflecting the mood of the era and changes in society.Nowadays, digital technologies and new film formats have created new opportunities for musicals, making it increasingly dynamic and attractive to a wide audience.This study provides a deeper understanding of the development of musicals and their significance in the history of cinema, as well as their place in modern popular culture. The work consists of a theoretical and practical part.The theoretical part consists of four chapters and ten subsections, while the practical part has two chapters and six subsections. The work has an introduction, conclusions,a list of informative literature and appendices.
