Abstract
Impostor syndrome or phenomenon is a term in psychology that describes a set of subjective feelings of a person about his professional competences, skills and abilities. It seems to the person that all the achievements are just luck and coincidence, and not the merit of the work that is done by person. The purpose of the research was to find out the prevalence of the Impostor phenomenon among young nurses and nursing students. The research sample consists of 108 research respondents, who are divided into three subgroups - nursing students, new nurses with up to five years of work experience since obtaining a nursing qualification, and nursing students who have obtained a nursing qualification at a college or university within the last five years, practice and continue their studies during the study in a bachelor's or master's study program. In the framework of the research, questionnaire was used, which consists of socio-demographic questions and The Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS) developed by psychologist Dr. Pauline Rose Clance. The results obtained in the research confirms the hypothesis and shows a positive correlation between the prevalence of the Impostor phenomenon and the professional experience of the respondents. The work includes 7 tables, 3 images, 26 used literature sources, the work has 5 appendices.
