Pēdējā gadsimta laikā strauji attīstoties tehnikas un datortehnikas pārmaiņām darba jomā, krasi mainījās arī darba apstākļi un rīki. Pāreja no primāra, fiziski daudzveidīga darba uz dominējošu mazkustīgu darbu, kas saistīts ar pielāgošanos dažādiem rīkiem, piemēram, datoram un pelei, radīja risku cilvēka organismam. Kādā veidā vai ja vispār datora ekrāna novietojumam ir negatīva ietekme uz cilvēka ķermeni un konkrēti uz mugurkaula kakla daļu, tiks parādīts zinātniskajā grāmatā: “Datora monitora novietojuma ietekme uz mugurkaula kakla daļas veselību”.Due to the rapidly developing technical and computerized changes in the work field the last century, working conditions and tools changed drastically as well. The change from a primary physically versatile work to a predominant sedentary one in connection with adaptation to different tools like computer and mouse brought its own risk for the human body.
