Abstract
The subject of the study work — “The dynamics of sleep quality in patients after a stroke during rehabilitation at the X Rehabilitation Center.” Sleep plays an important role in the optimal functioning of the brain. Sleep disorders are common in neurological diseases and are associated with poor health status, quality of life, increased risk of injury and early human death. It takes a long time for a person to restore the body's capabilities as much as possible after a suffered stroke. One of the most important aspects is to follow the regimen. Sleep disorders of patients after stroke include insomnia, waking up in the middle of the night, breathing problems in sleep, motion disorders and other problems. In recent years, scientists have achieved great success in studying the causes and mechanisms of sleep disorders, but major medical approaches to sleep problems remain medical rehabilitation after stroke. The study was designed to describe the dynamics of sleep quality in patients after a stroke during rehabilitation. The results and conclusions of the study can be useful not only for patients themselves, but also for medical doctors and employees. The primary objective of the study is to determine the dynamics of sleep quality in patients after a stroke during rehabilitation at the X Rehabilitation Center. The secondary objective of the study is to analyze sleep-quality dynamics in patients after a stroke before and after rehabilitation time at the X Rehabilitation Center. Study hypothesis: Patients have a positive dynamics of sleep quality after stroke during rehabilitation at the X Rehabilitation Center. In the theoretical part, an overview of the literature was conducted on stroke and their types, a treatment and prevention, on the quality of sleep after stroke and the possibility of rehabilitation. The work uses 22 sources of literature. The empirical part of bachelor's thesis uses quantitative (survey) and qualitative (working with patient medical histories) research methods. 100 patients were surveyed for approval of the target. The practical part shows the results of the study on sleep quality dynamics, which concludes that patients have a dynamics of positive sleep quality after stroke during rehabilitation.
