Kopsavilkums

Master's Thesis Topic “An analysis of the factors of physiotherapists burnout syndrome in the public and private sector”. Burnout syndrome is a complex occupational phenomenon that poses a significant risk to the professional well-being of healthcare workers, including physiotherapists. It appears as a persistent condition of emotional and physical tiredness, which is typically accompanied by depersonalization and a low sense of personal success. Individual coping methods and perceived self-efficacy have a substantial impact on the formation and advancement of burnout, with poor stress management ability being associated with increasing emotional tiredness, alienation, and decreased professional fulfillment. As such, burnout is a growing public health concern that may contribute to premature professional attrition. This study's main objective was to find and examine the main causes of physiotherapist burnout as well as to look at how these elements affect public and private sector job settings. The study examined burnout prevalence levels, identified key risk categories, and investigated workplace contextual factors that promote or alleviate burnout. Emphasis was placed on cross-sectoral comparison to discover whether there are statistically or clinically significant discrepancies in burnout manifestations based on work sector. The questionnaire-based component discovered that both sectors experienced emotional exhaustion and depersonalization; however, the commercial sector reported far lower levels of diminished personal success than the public sector. Statistical research revealed no significant differences in the influence of individual contributing factors across industries. However, qualitative data gathered through interviews revealed that the private sector allows for greater flexibility in working circumstances, albeit at the sacrifice of financial security, because revenue is strongly dependent on patient volume. In contrast, the public sector offers more constant compensation, which is frequently mismatched with effort and expectations and is associated with a less desirable work environment.
