Occupational Allergens and their contribution to allergic respiratory diseases in different work environments

Abstract

This research paper covers the role of occupational allergens in the development of allergic respiratory diseases within different work environments. A comprehensive approach involving the selection and analysis of research articles from scientific journals was done to assess the presence of HMW and LMW occupational allergens. The research aimed to analyse occupational allergens that cause allergic respiratory diseases present in different occupational sectors. Through detailed analysis and a thorough literature review, the study identified common allergen sources and their specific contributions to respiratory diseases. The findings emphasize the need for targeted interventions in occupational health to mitigate allergen exposure and promote respiratory well-being in different workplaces. This research focused valuable insights to the understanding and prevalence of occupational allergens and their impact on respiratory health, paving the way for informed preventative measures and improved occupational health practices. The work hypothesis of high molecular weight allergens found in manufacturing and farming industrial sectors are most likely to have the highest risk exposure to employees and additionally is possible that there is not enough data to support the effects of occupational allergens present in all industries was proven.
