Kopsavilkums
Bakalaura darbā tika veikts alkohola lietošanas skalas pusaudžiem vecumā no 13 līdz 19 gadiem izstrādes otrais posms. Pētījuma mērķis bija pārbaudīt skalas psihometriskās īpašības, tostarp tās iekšējo saskaņotību, pantu reakcijas un diskriminācijas indeksus, kā arī izprast tās faktoru struktūru.
Tika izvirzīti trīs pētījuma jautājumi: 1. Kāds ir skalas iekšējās saskaņotības rādītājs? 2. Kādi ir pantu reakcijas un diskriminācijas rādītāji? 3. Kāda ir skalas faktoru struktūra?
Tika analizēti 253 respondentu dati, no kuriem 62,8 % bija sievietes vecumā no 13 līdz 19 gadiem (M = 17,04; SD = 1,32), kuri pēdējo 12 mēnešu laikā bija lietojuši alkoholu.
The second stage of the development of an alcohol use consequences scale for adolescents aged 13 to 19 was carried out in this bachelor’s thesis. The aim of the study was to examine the psychometric properties of the scale, including its internal consistency, item response and discrimination indices, as well as to explore its factor structure. Three research questions were formulated: 1) What is the internal consistency coefficient of the scale? 2) What are the item response and discrimination indices? 3) What is the factor structure of the scale? Data from 253 participants were analyzed, of whom 62.8% were female adolescents aged 13 to 19 years (M = 17.04; SD = 1.32), all of whom had consumed alcohol during the past 12 months. Data were collected online and analyzed using SPSS software. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the total scale was calculated (α = 0.90), indicating high internal consistency. Internal consistency coefficients were also calculated for the individual factors, ranging from α = 0.86 to α = 0.59. Analysis of response and discrimination indices revealed that most items were suitable for the target population, demonstrating good ability to differentiate respondents based on the severity of alcohol-related consequences. An exploratory factor analysis with Varimax rotation revealed a five-factor model that accounted for 51% of the total variance. The results indicate the scale’s potential as a multidimensional instrument for assessing alcohol-related consequences in adolescents.
