Abstract
Title: Effectiveness of stretching exercises to improve the volume of movements for patients with adhesive capsule: a systematic review. Objective: The aim of this systematic review is to summarize and analyze available studies and find out what is the effectiveness of stretching exercises to improve the volume of movements in patients with adhesive capsules. Methods: Full-text studies were searched in online databases PubMed, PEDro, Science Direct, EBSCO. Results: Systematic review of the literature only including 3 top quality studies, which only investigated the effectiveness of stretching exercises to improve ROM of shoulder, in patients with adhesive capsule. The same assessment tools were used for all studies, and different control group physiotherapy methods were considered in each study. The studies evaluated shoulder joint ROM in various shoulder joint movements (flexion, abduction, internal / external rotation), measurements were taken at least twice, at the beginning and end of the study. In the results of the research, it was observed that the application of stretching exercises improves the shoulder joint ROM for various movements, but not all the obtained data are statistically significant. Conclusions: By comparing the study groups, it can be concluded that groups of participants who underwent additional intervention (matrix rhythm therapy and joint mobilisation) are more effective in improving the extent of shoulder movements as a result of more than those in groups where only stretching exercises were carried out. .
