Kopsavilkums
In conclusion, the main types of OSDs include contact dermatitis, contact urticaria, and in severe cases, skin neoplasms. These conditions are linked to frequent exposure to hazards in various industries, such as latex, nickel, disinfectants, and rubber. Despite the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), the incidence of OSDs remains high, and many cases go unreported. Healthcare workers face higher exposure to irritants like water and disinfectants, while office workers generally have less frequent exposure. OSDs not only affect physical health but also cause psychological stress, leading to decreased productivity. Prevention, through proper PPE usage and education, is key to reducing OSD cases. Management focuses on symptom control, particularly for chronic conditions. The hypothesis is that exposure to occupational hazards is linked to health effects, and proper PPE use reduces these risks and the need for long-term management.
