Kopsavilkums

The aim of this study is to investigate body weight changes in perimenopausal women and their relationship with dietary habits. Perimenopause, which encompasses the period of life before menopause, is a time of hormonal changes that can affect both a woman's physical and emotional health. During this period, changes in body weight are often observed, which are influenced not only by hormonal factors, but also by dietary habits, lifestyle and physical activity. The study used a questionnaire in which women aged 40 to 55 participated to determine the relationship between dietary habits and weight changes and perimenopausal symptoms. Data were collected on the participants' dietary habits, physical activity intensity and sleep hygiene, analyzing their relationship with body weight fluctuations and perimenopausal symptoms. The results of the study show that the quality of nutrition and habits play a significant role in controlling body weight changes during the perimenopausal period. A balanced diet and regular physical activity can reduce weight gain and improve quality of life, while unhealthy eating habits and low physical activity often contribute to weight gain and also affect the severity of symptoms The paper offers recommendations for improving diet and lifestyle during the perimenopause period to help women maintain a healthy body weight and reduce symptoms. The study's conclusions and recommendations may be useful for both healthcare professionals and women themselves when planning health improvement strategies.
