Priekšvēsture:
Potītes traumas bieži sastopamas neatliekamās palīdzības ambulatorajā daļā un ir viena no visbiežāk sastopamākajām akūtajām ar sportu saistītajām traumām. Potīšu sastiepumi sastāda aptuveni 25% no visām ar sportu saistītajam traumām, savukārt potītes lūzumi sastāda veselus 9% no visiem lūzumiem, kas pašsaprotami ir ievērojams slogs uz mediķu pleciem. Potīšu lūzumiem parasti ir bimodāls vecuma sadalījums ar dominanci vecāku sieviešu starpā. Traumu mehānisms ir ticis postulēts, apstrīdēts un pārskatīts neskaitāmas reizes pieaugot ortopēdijas disciplīnai, un tas joprojām ir būtisks līdzeklis apstākļu izprašanā, lai noskaidrotu kādos apstākļos minētā traumas potenciāli varētu rasties.
Mērķis:
Objektīvi analizēt potīti visos tās aspektos, koncentrējoties uz traumas mehānismu attiecībā uz potītes locītavas sairumu un deformācijas smagumu, kā arī rast iespējamos preventīvos pasākumus.
Metode:
Analizēt plašu klāstu literatūras avotu, meklējot un izanalizējot plašas analītiskās interneta datu bāzes, zinātniskos rakstus, ar ortopēdiju saistītās publikācijas, grāmatu un e-grāmatu spektru ( galvenokārt PubMed reģistru, NCBI, Elsevier's ClinicalKey, Access medicine un UpToDate) lai precīzi definētu, izklāstītu un noslēgtu pētījumu.
Rezultāts:
Pamatojoties uz atsauces materiāliem, traumu mehānisma izpratne, neraugoties uz to, ka tā medicīnas aprindās ir strīdīga tēma, bet neraugoties uz to, tā pārsvars sniedz diagnostisku vērtību, kurā varētu būt aizdomas par saistītajiem ievainojumiem. Racionāli analizējot notikumu secību, būdami informēti par traumas iegūšanas apstākļiem, traumu modeļu analīze dod mums anatomisku ieskatu iespējami īstenojamiem profilaktiskiem pasākumiem, piemēram- stiprināšanu vai teipošanu, lai samazinātu traumas smagumu un sadalot īso enerģijas plīsumu, kas iedarbojas uz locītavu, tādējādi uzlabojot indivīda dzīves kvalitāti un ilgumu sportā vai ar sportu saistītā karjera.
Secinājums:
Darba noslēgumā varam secināt, ka pašreizējā vide, kurā tiek pētītas potītes traumas, vairs nav atkarīga no traumas mehānisma novērtēšanas radiogrāfiskās diagnostikas aprīkojuma pieejamības dēļ. Traumu mehānisms joprojām ir aktuāla tēma, jo rodas jaunas iespējas, ārstēšanai un rehabilitācijai tiek izmantotas jaunas tehnoloģijas, un tiek pārbaudītas lielākas datorizētas datu bāzes, lai turpinātu pētīt potītes traumas mehānisko aspektu. Labāka mehānisma izpratne var ļaut mums samazināt ievainojumu risku predispozetas populācijas, ka ari saīsināt atveseļošanas laika posmu.
Background: Ankle injuries present frequently in the emergency room and ranks among the most common acute injuries in athletes. Ankle sprains represent 25% of all sports related injuries while ankle fractures account for 9 % of the total fractures accounting for a sizable portion of the trauma workload. Ankle fractures have a typically presented a bimodal age distributionwith dominance in older females. The mechanism of injury has been postulated, contested and revised with the growing discipline of orthopedic and remains a vital asset in understanding the conditions under which an injury might take place. Aim: Objectively analysing ankle with focus on the mechanism of injury in relation to the severity of the disruption and deformation of the ankle joint as well as find possible preventative measures. Method: Utilizing literature-review, searching a wide spectrum of analytical internet databases, articles, orthopedic journals, books and e-books, chiefly PubMed registry, NCBI, Elsevier's ClinicalKey, Access medicine and UpToDate to define, outline, address and conclude the purposed questions of the study. Results: Based the referenced materials, understanding the mechanism of injury despite being a topic of contention and their prevalence provide diagnostic value in which associated injuries could be suspected through a rational analysis of the sequence of events, inform about the circumstances under which injuries might take place. Analysing the patterns of injury gives us anatomical insight to possibly implemented prophylactic measures such as bracing or tapping to reduce injury severity by distributing the short burst of energy acting on the joint thus improving life quality and longevity in sport. Conclusion: The current environment in which ankle injury is researched is no longer dependent on the evaluation of injury mechanism due to the accessibility of radiographic diagnostic tools. The mechanism of injury remains a topic of interest as new opportunities arise using new technologies are used to correct older beliefs and larger computerized databases are examined to try to further investigate the mechanistic aspect of ankle injury. Better understanding of the mechanism and it’s may allow us to decrease the risk of injury in the predisposed populations and shorten recovery.
