Kopsavilkums
This bachelor's thesis “Possibilities for Improvement of the Field Technicians Training Process at SIA ‘‘Aerones Nordic’’” explores the optimization of the field technician training process at Aerones Nordic, a Latvian technology company specializing in robotic maintenance solutions for wind turbines. The aim of the study was to analyze the existing training process, identify inefficiencies, and propose targeted improvements to enhance training quality and retention. The research applied business process management and optimization theories to develop a structured analysis framework. A case study methodology was used, including a survey of training participants and validation interviews with three industry experts. The research findings revealed strengths in Aerones Nordics’ technician training structure but also highlighted areas requiring improvement, such as delays due to equipment availability and limited trainee engagement in theoretical learning. As a result, three key improvement proposals were developed: the introduction of virtual reality (VR) training simulations, the use of interactive video-based theory modules, and the exploration of alternative practical training options. Expert feedback confirmed the value and feasibility of the first two proposals and recommended alternative approaches to the third. The study concludes that implementing the validated solutions could significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Aerones Nordics’ technician training process, contributing to safer and more consistent field operations. The recommendations offer practical value not only for Aerones Nordic but also for other organizations looking to enhance training processes in the renewable energy sector or similar work environments. All numerical values in this thesis are formatted according to international English (APA 7th edition) standards, using commas as thousand separators (e.g., 2,200 EUR), in line with the thesis language and international academic writing conventions. In the development of the bachelor's thesis 45 resources were used. The length of the bachelor's thesis is 51 pages, not including appendices. It includes 5 tables and 9 figures.
