Pieaugušo motivācija ortodontiskai ārstēšanai

Abstract

Kvalifikācijas darbā tika pētīts, kāda ir pieaugušo pacientu motivācija ortodontiskai ārstēšanai. Darba mērķis bija izpētīt iemeslus, kādēļ pieaugušie veic ortodontisku ārstēšanu. Galvenie motivācijas iemesli ortodontiskai ārstēšanai pieaugušajiem, ir vēlme uzlabot sejas un zobu rindas estētiku. Nesakārtota zobu rinda un cita veida sakodiena problēmas, negatīvi ietekmē pieaugušo dzīves kvalitātes līmeni un pašvērtējumu, kā arī tam ir būtiska nozīme ne tikai zobu un mutes dobuma veselībā, bet arī ietekmē cilvēka vispārējo veselību. Biežāk lietotās ortodontiskās aparatūras ir fiksētās metāla, keramiskās vai lingvālās breketes, kā arī izņemamās korekcijas kapes. Darba autore centās noskaidrot, vai sejas un zobu rindas estētikas uzlabošana ir galvenais motivācijas iemesls ortodontiskai ārstēšanai pieaugušajiem. Secinājumi: Aptaujā piedalījās 58 respondenti. Pēc pētījumā iegūtajiem datiem, var secināt, ka pieaugušo pacientu galvenā motivācija ortodontiskai ārstēšanai, ir sejas un zobu rindas estētikas uzlabošana un pašvērtējuma paaugstināšanās.The study objective was to explore the motivation of adult patients for orthodontic treatment. This study aimed to explore reasons, why adults initiate orthodontic treatment. The main reason for adult patients to undergo orthodontic treatment, is a desire to improve teeth and facial aesthetics. For adults, misalignment and other orthodontic problems, have a negative effect on self-esteem and quality of life. Misalignment and other orthodontic problems affect not only oral health, but general health as well. The most commonly used orthodontic appliances are metal, ceramic or lingual braces and removable aligners. The author of this work tried to find out, if teeth and facial aesthetics improvement is the main motivation for adult orthodontic treatment. Conclusions: 58 adult patients took part in this survey. The results showed that the motivation of adult patients for orthodontic treatment, is a desire to improve the look of aesthetics of the face and the row of teeth.
