Nikotīna spilventiņu lietošana saistībā ar sociāli demogrāfiskajiem faktoriem darbspējas vecuma pieaugušo populācijā Latvijā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā analizēta nikotīna spilventiņu lietošana darbspējas vecuma pieaugušo vidū Latvijā un tās saistība ar sociāli demogrāfiskiem faktoriem, piemēram, dzimumu, vecumu, izglītības līmeni, nodarbinātības statusu, ienākumu līmeni un ģimenes stāvokli. Dati iegūti no Slimību profilakses un kontroles centra 2022. gada pētījuma par Latvijas iedzīvotāju veselību ietekmējošiem paradumiem. Rezultāti atklāja, ka nikotīna spilventiņus biežāk lieto vīrieši (8,7%), un regulāri tos lieto biežāk vīrieši (1,4%) un jaunāki pieaugušie (18–34 gadi), savukārt lietošanas biežums samazinās līdz ar vecumu un pieaugošu izglītības līmeni. Statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības konstatētas arī ienākumu grupās, taču ne ģimenes statusa vai nodarbinātības ziņā. Pētījums uzsver nepieciešamību uzraudzīt šo jauno nikotīna produktu lietošanas izplatību un izprast tās ietekmi uz sabiedrības veselību.The bachelor thesis analyses nicotine pouch use among working-age adults in Latvia and its association with socio-demographic factors such as gender, age, education level, employment status, income level and marital status. Data are from the 2022 Health Behaviour among Latvian Adult Population, Centre for Disease Prevention and Control's survey. The results showed that nicotine pouches are more commonly used by men (8.7%) and regularly used by men (1.4%) and younger adults (18-34 years), while the frequency of use decreases with age and increasing educational level. Statistically significant differences were also found by income group, but not by marital status or employment. The study highlights the need to monitor the prevalence of use of these new nicotine products and to understand their impact on public health.
