Zoba alveolas vairoga tehnika (socket-shield technique, SST) ir jauna pieeja
implantoloģijā, kuras mērķis ir saglabāt bukālo kaula plāksni pēc zoba ekstrakcijas. Tā ietver
apzinātu zoba saknes bukālās daļas saglabāšanu, lai atbalstītu apkārtējo periodontu un
uzturētu mīksto un cieto audu kontūras. Konkrētā pieeja ir īpaši nozīmīga augšžokļa rajonā,
kur estētiskās prasības ir augstas, un pēc ekstrakcijas notiekošā rezorbcija var apdraudēt
implanta veiksmīgu ievietošanu. Literatūras pārskats iepazīstina lasītāju ar ligzdas vairoga
tehniku un sniedz iespēju izvērtēt tās potenciālu kā alternatīvu tradicionālajām implanta
ievietošanas metodēm. Darbs ietver strukturētu literatūras apskatu, balstītu uz elektroniskajām
datubāzēm, pētījumiem un iegūto datu kvalitatīvo analīzi. Balstoties uz materiāliem, var
secināt, ka SST var nodrošināt labvēlīgus estētiskos un klīniskos rezultātus, tai skaitā bukālā
kaula saglabāšanos, augstu implantu izdzīvošanas rādītāju un samazinātu nepieciešamību pēc
papildu kaula pieaudzēšanas. Novērojams, ka pašreizējie pierādījumi ir ierobežoti, un būtu
nepieciešama papildu analīze. Būtiska pētījumu dizainu, procedūru protokolu, novērošanas
ilguma, iznākuma rādītāju un tehnikas standartizācijas trūkuma heterogenitāte apgrūtina
interpretāciju. Noslēgumā – lai arī SST šķiet perspektīva tehnika konkrētas klīniskās
situācijās, pašreizējie dati ir nepietiekami. Nepieciešami turpmāki augstas kvalitātes pētījumi,
lai apstiprinātu tās ilgtermiņa efektivitāti un izstrādātu standartizētas klīniskās vadlīnijas.
The socket-shield technique (SST) is an emerging approach in implant dentistry aimed at preserving the buccal bone plate following tooth extraction. It involves the intentional retention of the buccal segment of the root to support the surrounding periodontium and maintain soft and hard tissue contours. This is particularly relevant in the anterior maxillary region where the aesthetic demands are high and post-extraction resorption may compromise implant success. The objective of this literature review is to familiarize the reader with the socket-shield technique and to evaluate its potential as an alternative to conventional implant placement procedures. A structured search of literature published since the inception of this technique was conducted using electronic databases and the included studies were analysed qualitatively. The review indicates that SST shows promise in achieving favourable aesthetic and clinical outcomes with several reports of buccal bone levels, high implant survival rates, and reduced need for additional grafting. However, the present evidence up to date is subject to certain limitations. The significant heterogeneity in the study designs, procedure protocols, follow-up durations, outcome measures and lack of standardization of the procedure technique further complicate interpretation. In conclusion, while SST appears to be a promising technique in select clinical scenarios, current evidence remains limited. Further high-quality research is required to confirm its long-term effectiveness and to develop standardized clinical guidelines.
