Virtuālo simulatoru izmantošana zobārstu apmācībā

Abstract

Mērķis: noskaidrot, vai virtuālās realitātes simulatoru (VRS) izmantošana palīdzēja uzlabot praktiskās iemaņas un rezultātus plastmasas zobu slīpēšanā Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes Zobārstniecības fakultātes 2018.gada 2.studiju gada 3.semestra studentu vidū. Materiāli un metodes: Tika apkopoti dati par 65 zobārstniecības studentu darbu no VR simulatoru datubāzes, aprēķināts laiks, ko studenti pavadīja pie simulatora urbjot kavitātes, kastītes, slīpējot zobus un kopējais laiks pie VR simulatoriem. Tika vērtēti šo 65 studentu slīpētie plastmasas zobi pēc uzdevumu veikšanas uz simulatoriem. Iegūtie rezultāti tika analizēti izmantojot t-testu. Rezultāti: Tika novērots, ka studentiem, kas kopumā pavadīja vairāk laika pie simulatoriem (vairāk par 100 minutēm) izdevās iegūt augstāku vērtējumu par slīpēto plastmasas zobu, salīdzinot ar tiem, kas trenējās mazāk. Secinājumi: VR simulatoru izmantošana var būt noderīga praktisko iemaņu attīstībā un zobu slīpēšanas rezultātu uzlabošanā, neatkarīgi no veikto uzdevumu veida.The aim of this study: to find out whether the use of virtual reality simulators (VRS) helped to improve practical skills and results in typodont tooth preparation among students of the Faculty of Dentistry of Riga Stradins University, 2nd year of 2018. Materials and methods: The data of 65 dental students was collected from the database of VR simulators, the time spent by the students on the simulator drilling cavities, boxes, crown preparation and the total time on the VR simulators was calculated. Crown-prepared plastic teeth of these 65 students were evaluated after completing the tasks on the simulators. The obtained results were analyzed using t-test. Results: It was observed that students who spent more time on the simulators overall (more than 100 minutes) managed to get a higher score on the plastic tooth crown preparation compared to those who practiced less. Conclusion: Use of VR simulators can be useful in the development of practical skills and improving the results of crown preparation, regardless of the type of the tasks performed.
