Risks, benefits and future trends in Telemedicine

Abstract

After analysing the key risk, benefits and future trends in telemedicine. It becomes clear that telemedicine does positively impact occupational health, and it will be integrated into future workplace healthcare. The main risks found in telemedicine were identified as clinical assessment limitations, data security vulnerabilities, and regulatory challenges. In contrast, the benefits of telemedicine included improved access to workplace healthcare, cost efficiency, and enhanced health outcomes. Future telemedicine trends included4 integrating AI, wearable devices, 5G connectivity, and AR/VR technologies. Recommendations included: adopting hybrid healthcare models, strengthening data security, harmonising regulatory frameworks, and improving patient technological literacy
