Abstract
The aim of the study is to determinate the level of patients compliance with gastroesophageal reflux disease during treatment. The topicality of the topic is determined by the fact, that GERD is a multifactorial chronic disease that is easily acquired in today’s fact pace. According to the World Health Organization, 50% of chronic disease patients are noncompliance in terms of medication use. Research question: What is the level of patients compliance with gastroesophageal reflux disease during treatment? Research method: quantitative research method using a questionnaire “Level of compliance” developed by the Russian author R. Kadyrov for patients with chronic diseases, wich consists of 66 questions. The study involved 102 respondents, 51 outpatients and 51 inpatients. Outpatient respondents with GERD have a low level of general compliance, tedn to underestimate the severity of their illness, so by ignoring the possible consequences and complications, they do not take into account some aspects of treatment recommended by a doctor, while inpatient respondents have a high level of general compliance, achievement of the goal – recovery, they conscientiously follow the doctor’s recommendations and follow the regimen. In general, compared to American studies, it could be suggested that medical staff pay more attention to outpatients with gastroesophageal reflux disease, educating them about the right treatment. When educating patients with GERD, more attention should be paid to men, explaining the medication regimen and the nature of dieting in the treatment of the disease. We must not forget about patients who have had GERD for 5 years or more, they must be reminded that the possible consequences and complications of the disease can be missed due to a lack of equality.
