Abstract
Darba nosaukums ir “Pilotpētījums: „Latviešu valodas fonēmu pārbaudes materiāla” psihometrisko īpašību pārbaude 4.1 līdz 4.11 gadus veciem bērniem”.
Pilotpētījuma realizēšanai tika izmantota “Latviešu valodas fonēmu pārbaudes materiāla” pilnveidotā versija, kura sastāv no 97 melnbaltiem attēliem. Pilotpētījuma mērķis bija pārbaudīt šī materiāla iekšējo saskaņotību, materiāla ticamību un spēju identificēt skaņu izrunas traucējumus bērniem vecumā no 4.1 līdz 4.11 gadiem.
The title of the work is “Pilot Study: Test of Psychometric Properties of “Latvian Language Phoneme Examination Material” for 4.1 to 4.11 Year Old Children” To carry out the pilot study, an improved version of the “Latvian language phoneme examination material”, consisting of 97 black and white images, was used. The aim of the pilot study was to verify the internal coherence of the material, the reliability of the material and the ability to identify sound speech disorders in children aged 4.1 to 4.11. To achieve the objective, the pilot study involved 25 children, 20 of them with typical language development and five with speech sound disorders. The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was used to check the internal consistency of the test material. Examination of the test material showed a high level of alfa coefficient (α≥0.9). The result of the reliability factor was 0.962, which shows an excellent internal consistency of the test material. The material's credibility was tested by retesting children with typical language development. The retest took place two weeks after the first inspection and produced identical results as in the first test (k=1). From this, it can be concluded that the material shows reliable results. Children with speech sound disorders were selected for this pilot study to verify the ability of “Latvian language phoneme examination material” to identify speech sound disorders. The obtained results showed that children with typical language development from 97 offered phonemes and their combinations pronounce accurately 83.05, while children with sound pronunciation disorders only 51,20. To assess the ability of the material to identify speech sound disorders, binary logistic regression analysis was applied, which used the sum of the points. A numerically significant regression equation was obtained (p <0.001). According to the data obtained from the classification table, the material is able to identify speech sound disorders in four-year-old children in 100% of cases. Due to the small number of participants, research activities should be continued.
