This literature review covers the potential hazards and the resulting health risks for workers in the battery manufacturing and recycling industries. It will go through and identify the key chemicals and materials that are used in this industry depending on what kind of batteries are being manufactured or recycled since the components will vary depending on the type of battery. Then, on how the chemical or material can cause harm to the worker, how to diagnose it, how to treat it and how to prevent it. It will also go through certain physical hazards such as noise levels, electricity and consequences of damage to the batteries. The main goal of this is to gain insight into the different hazards in this industry and how to prevent health risks to the workers.
