Abstract
Metodes: publikāciju meklēšana elektroniskajās uz pierādījumiem balstītās datu bāzēs Taylor & Francis Online, ProQuest, SAGE journals, ScienceDirect un Wiley Online Library, izmantojot atslēgas vārdus: occupational therapy, intellectual disability, intellectual development disorder, children, child, activities of daily living, activity of daily living, selfcare, intervention, interventions. Papildus pievienojot boolean operatorus AND un OR.
Rezultāti: darbības jomas pārskatā tika iekļautas 3 publikācijas. Kopumā identificējot trīs dažādas metodes, kas var tikt pielietotas ergoterapijas realizēšanas procesā bērniem ar intelekta attīstības traucējumiem - virtuālās realitātes un uz datorspēlēm balstītas kognitīvās terapijas izmantošana, motoro prasmju uzlabošanas programma un ergoterapijas mājas programma.
Secinājumi: visās analizētajās publikācijās, izmantojot konkrēto metodi - virtuālās realitātes un uz datorspēlēm balstītas kognitīvās terapijas izmantošana, motoro prasmju uzlabošanas programma un ergoterapijas mājas programma - uzlabojās pētījumu dalībnieku motorās funkcijas.
Title of bachelor's thesis: Occupational therapy interventions in performing activities of daily living for children with intellectual disabilities: a scoping review. Author of bachelor thesis: Kristiāna Pogule, student of the 4th study year, study program “Occupational Therapy”, Faculty of Rehabilitation. Background: in Latvia, the number of persons with mental disorders tends to increase. There are differences between a child's/youth's capacity to perform functions and activities and the ability to perform activities in a real - world environment. Occupational therapy in the everyday environment for children with intellectual disabilities can promote participation in activities of daily living. At present, the evidence is inconclusive due to the limited number of methodologically solid studies. Question of study: what occupational therapy interventions are implemented in the therapy process for performing daily activities for children with intellectual disabilities? Aim of the study: to compile and analyze the scientific publications available in the literature in the period from 2013 to 2023 about occupational therapy interventions, which are used in the therapy process to perform daily activities for children with intellectual disabilities. Methods: searching for publications in electronic evidence-based databases Taylor & Francis Online, ProQuest, SAGE Journals, ScienceDirect, and Wiley Online Library using keywords: occupational therapy, intellectual disability, intellectual development disorder, children, child, activities of daily living, activity of daily living, self-care, intervention, interventions, adding Boolean operators AND and OR. Results: 3 publications were included in the scoping review. In general, identifying three different interventions that can be used in the process of implementing occupational therapy for children with intellectual disabilities - virtual reality and computer game-based cognitive therapy, a motor intervention program, and an occupational therapy home program. Conclusions: in all the analyzed publications, using the specific method - virtual reality and computer game-based cognitive therapy, a motor intervention program, and an occupational therapy home program - the motor functions of research participants improved.
