Pētījuma mērķis bija veikt instrumenta "Rīgas Kognitīvā skrīninga tests" Aizsargājošo faktoru skalas konstrukta pamatotības pārbaudi. Tika izvirzīti trīs pētījuma jautājumi, lai noskaidrotu “Rīgas Kognitīvā skrīninga testa” (RiTa) iekšējās saskaņotības un pantu rādītājus, kā arī noskaidrotu Aizsargfaktoru konstrukta konverģento pamatotību un pārbaudītu Aizsargfaktoru spēju diferencēt faktoru pazīmes pēc grupām.
Pētījumā piedalījās 138 dalībnieki vecumā no 50-86 gadiem (M = 67,50, SD = 9,11), no kuriem 67,4% bija sievietes. Respondenti tika atlasīti pēc spējām komunicēt latviešu valodā, kā arī bez būtiskām psihiskām vai fiziskām veselības komplikācijām. Pētījuma dalībnieki tika sadalīti trīs grupās – Nav kognitīvo traucējumu (n=46), Viegli kognitīvie traucējumi (n=74) un Izteikti kognitīvie traucējumi (n=18). Šīs grupas tika iegūtas balstoties uz Monreālas kognitīvo funkciju novērtēšanas skalas (MoCA) 8.1 versijas rezultātiem. Dalībnieki aizpildīja sociāldemogrāfisko aptauju, Kognitīvo rezervju indeksa aptaujas īso versiju, Monreālas kognitīvo funkciju novērtēšanas skalas 8.1 versiju, un Rīgas Kognitīvā skrīninga testu. Šī testu administrēšanas secība palika nemainīga visiem respondentiem. Datu ieguve notika sadarbībā ar Sociālās aprūpes centriem, Latvijas senioru skolām, kā arī izmantojot sociālos tīklus. Datu ieguve norisinājās klātienē ar katru respondentu individuāli.
Pētījuma rezultāti uzrādīja, ka RiTa iekšējās saskaņotības rādītājs ir vidējs (α = 0,65) pantu līmenī un zems (α = 0,46) skalu līmenī. Pantu reakcijas un diskriminācijas indeksi identificēja 9 pantus, kas būtu jāpārstrādā, vai jāņem ārā no testa. Konverģentās pamatotība izpildījās daļēji, jo apakšskalām “Izglītība” (rs = 0,67, p < 0,01), “Nodarbinātība” (rs = 0,53, p < 0,01) un “Brīvais laiks” (rs = 0,36 , p < 0,01) izpildās konverģentā pamatotība, taču tā netika novērota “Bilingvisma”, “Sociālās aktivitātes”, “Attieksmes pret dzīvi” un “Fiziskās aktivitātes” apakšskalās. Grupu atšķirību pārbaudē, Kruskala-Vallisa testa rezultāti parādīja, ka pastāv statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības RiTa apakšskalās “Izglītība” (H(2) = 16,70, p <0,001) un “Bilingvisms” (H(2) = 8,16, p = 0,02). Statistiski nozīmīgas atšķirības netika atrastas starp “Nodarbinātības”, “Sociālās aktivitātes”, “Attieksme pret dzīvi”, “Fiziskās aktivitātes” un “Brīvais laiks” apakšskalās.
Pēc pētījuma var secināt, ka ir nepieciešams pārstrādāt vai izslēgt vairākus pantus. Veicot šīs modifikācijas būtu vēlams veikt atkārtotu pētījumu ar lielāku respondentu izlasi. Veicot atkārtotu pētījumu, būtu nepieciešams veikt faktoranalīzi, jo RiTa Aizsargfaktori pašlaik ir teorētiski, nevis pamatoti uz faktoranalīzes rezultātiem.
The aim of this study was to assess “Riga Cognitive Screening Task” Protective factor scale construct validity. To accomplish this, three study questions were raised, to find out “Riga Cognitive Screening task” (RiTa) internal consistency and item scores, as well as determining Protective factor construct convergent validity and test the ability of the Protective factors to differentiate factor traits by groups. The study included 138 participants aged 50-86 years (M= 67,50, SD = 9,11), of whom 67,4% were women. Respondents were selected based on their ability to communicate in Latvian, as well as being without significant mental or physical health complications. Participants were divided into three groups – no cognitive impairment (n=46), mild cognitive impairment (n=74) and severe cognitive impairment (n=18). These groups were formed based on the results of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) version 8.1. Participants completed a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Cognitive Reserve Index questionnaire short version, the Monreal Cognitive Assessment version 8.1 and Riga Cognitive Screening Task. The order of test administration remained unchanged for all respondents. Data collection took place in cooperation with Social Care centers, Latvian Senior Schools, as well as using social networks. Data collection took place in person with each respondent individually. Results of the study showed that RiTa internal consistency is medium (α = 0,65) at the item level and low (α = 0,46) at the scale level. Item response and discrimination indexes identified 9 items that should be revised or removed from the test. Convergent validity was partially met, as convergent validity was met for the subscales apakšskalām “Education” (rs = 0,67, p < 0,01), “Working Activity” (rs = 0,53, p < 0,01) and “Leisure” (rs = 0,36, p < 0,01), but it was not observed for the subscales “Bilingualism”, “Social activities”, “Attitude towards life” and “Physical activity”. When examining group differences, the Kruskal-Wallis test results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the RiTa subscales “Education” (H(2) = 16,70, p<0,001) and “Bilingualism” (H(2) = 8,16, p = 0,02). No statistically significant differences were found between the “Working activity”, “Social activities”, “Attitude towards life” ,“Physical Activities” and “Leisure” subscales. It can be concluded that it is necessary to revise or exclude several items. Once these modifications are done, it is desirable to conduct a repeat study with a larger respondent group. On the repeated study, it would be necessary to conduct a factor analysis, since RiTa Protective factors are currently based on theoretical knowledge and are not psychometrically validated.
