Bakalaura darba tēma ir ,,Vēlā un vēlākā vecuma vecie cilvēki kā klientu grupa sociālajā darbā, tiem pieejamie sociālie pakalpojumi”. Darba autore ir Elīna Ulmane – Dankere. Darba vadītāja ir Rita Rindža. Darbs ir izstrādāts Rīgas Stradiņa universitātes Sabiedrības veselības un sociālās labklājības fakultātes Labklājības un sociālā darba katedrā, Bakalaura studiju programmas “Sociālais darbs” ietvaros. Pētījuma mērķis ir: Noskaidrot veco cilvēku viedokli par pieejamajiem sociālajiem pakalpojumiem veciem cilvēkiem Kandavas novadā. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 2 daļām - teorētiskās daļas un pētījuma daļas. Teorētiskajā daļā ir apkopota pieejamā literatūra par veciem cilvēkiem, to problēmām un fiziskajām izmaiņām novecošanās procesā. Aprakstīts par ģimenes nozīmi vecu cilvēku novecošanās procesā, raksturoti veciem cilvēkiem pieejamie sociālie pakalpojumi. Apskatīta literatūra par vecu cilvēku adaptācijas procesu, raksturota sociālā darba speciālistu profesionālā darbība sociālo pakalpojumu sniegšanā veciem cilvēkiem. Pētījuma daļā tika izveidots kvantitatīvās pētījuma metodes instruments - anketa ar 12 anketas jautājumiem, ar mērķi noskaidrot vēlā un vēlākā vecuma veco cilvēku viedokli par pieejamajiem sociālajiem pakalpojumiem Kandavas novadā. Apkopoti anketēšanas rezultāti. Bakalaura darba apjoms ir 56 lapas, iekļauti 13 attēli un 1 tabula, 30 izmantotās literatūras avoti.

The theme of the bachelor's thesis is "Late and later age elderly people as a group of clients in social work, social services available to them". The author of the work is Elīna Ulmane - Dankere. The work has been developed at the Department of Welfare and Social Work of the Faculty of Public Health and Social Welfare, Riga Stradins University, within the framework of the Bachelor's study program “Social Work”. The aim of the research is: To find out the opinion of the elderly about the available social services for the elderly in Kandava region. The bachelor's thesis consists of 2 parts - the theoretical part and the research part. The theoretical part summarizes the available literature on the elderly, their problems and physical changes in the aging process. Describes the role of the family in the aging process of the elderly, describes the social services available to the elderly. Literature on the adaptation process of the elderly is reviewed, the professional activity of social work specialists in the provision of social services for the elderly is described. In the research part, a tool of quantitative research method was created - a questionnaire with 12 questionnaire questions, with the aim to find out the opinion of late and later age elderly people about the available social services in Kandava region. The results of the survey are summarized. The volume of the bachelor's thesis is 56 pages, 13 figures and 1 table are included, 30 references.
