Urinary stones are mineral deposits formed through crystallization commonly found in the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. Calcium stones are the most prevalent stone found in pediatric patients. It is significant to conduct a Metabolic evaluation of the stone to understand the underlying cause. The choice of treatment depends on the type and location of the stone. Minimally invasive surgeries are the most preferred choice of treatment over open surgeries. The recurrence rate is very high in children therefore, proper prevention is required through nutritional and behavioral changes and medications |
