Abstract
Literatūras apskats stāsta par gaisa piesārņojuma nelabvēlīgo ietekmi uz elpošanas sistēmu. Uzmanības centrā ir tikai trīs galvenās slimības: HOPS, plaušu vēzis un astma. Literatūras apskats attiecas tikai uz Indiju. Gaisa piesārņojuma līmeņa paaugstināšanās Indijā ir cieši saistīta ar visām trim slimībām, dažās slimībās vairāk un citās mazāk. Neviena iestāde īsti nerunā par gaisa piesārņojumu Indijā un to, kā patiesībā tas palielina hospitalizāciju skaitu slimnīcās. Ir pētījumi, kas parāda korelāciju starp paaugstinātu gaisa piesārņojumu un astmas vai HOPS saasināšanos. Arī Indijā ļoti bieži notiek zīdaiņu nāves gadījumi elpceļu slimību dēļ.
The literature review tells about the adverse affects of air pollution on respiratory system. The focus is only on three main diseases: COPD, lung cancer and asthma. The literature review is limited to India. The rising levels of air pollution in India is highly connected to all three diseases, in some diseases more and in some a bit less. No body really talks about the air pollution in India and how actually it increases the hospitalisations in hospitals. There are studies showing correlation between increased amount air pollution and exacerbation of asthma or COPD. Infant deaths due to respiratory diseases are very common in India as well.
