Abstract
Raksti
tika ņemti no sešām RSU brīvi pieejamām e-datubāzēm: PubMed, ScienceDirect,
CochraneLibrary, ProQuest, WileyOnlain Library, SageJournals.
efekts citos parametros. Būtu nepieciešams turpināt pētīt mūzikas terapijas efektivitāti bērniem
ar autiskā spektrā traucējumiem komunikācijas prasmju uzlabošanā.
Title of the thesis: Systematic literature review: Effectiveness of music therapy in improving communication skills in children with autism spectrum disorders. Target of the thesis: Systematically analyze and summarize the available scientific literature on the effectiveness of using music therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders to improve communication skills. Research methodology: PRISMA flow guidelines were used to select scientific articles. Articles were taken from six RSU freely available e-databases: PubMed, ScienceDirect, CochraneLibrary, ProQuest, WileyOnlain Library, SageJournals. Articles which meet the inclusion criteria and not older than 10 years were included in the study. The PEDro scale was used to evaluate the studies. Results: Within the framework of the study, four studies were analyzed, which investigated the effectiveness of music therapy in reducing symptoms caused by autistic spectrum disorders, including improving communication skills. The results of the research were compared with other alternative approaches, in each it was different, in the first - a group for developing social skills, in the second - listening to music, in the third - in a game, in the fourth - an early intervention program. One study confirms the positive effect of music therapy on communication skills in children with AST, but three studies do not provide an unequivocal answer about the effectiveness of improving communication skills. Conclusions: To evaluate the results of the analyzed studies, various language and communication assessment tools were used, so the obtained results do not provide an unequivocal answer about the effectiveness of music therapy in improving the communication skills of children with autistic spectrum disorders. In one of the four studies analyzed in this work, music therapy was recognized as a means of developing social communication skills, while in the others, the therapeutic effect was indicated in other parameters. It would be necessary to further study the effectiveness of music therapy in improving communication skills in children with autistic spectrum disorders.
