Abstract
Atslēgas vārdi: cerebral palsy, dynamic compression garments, gross motor function, Gross motor function measure, dynamic elastomeric fabric orthosis, lycra, suit therapy.
Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 62 lappuses, tas satur septiņus attēlus, sešas tabulas, septiņus pielikumus, tika pieminēts viens avots, 20 periodikas nosaukumi un desmit interneta avoti.
Title of Bachelor’s Thesis: Efficiency of dynamic compression garments improving gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy: a systematic literature review. Work author: Nadežda Zenkova Supervisor: Guntis Raipalis Purpose of the work: is to select and analyze available literature and research on the effectiveness of the use of dynamic compression garments for gross motor functions in children with cerebral palsy in the period from 2010 to 2020. Research question: Is there evidence for the effectiveness of using dynamic compression garments to improve gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy? Result: Four studies were selected and analyzed comparing the results of Gross Motor Function Measure before and after treatment with dynamic compression garments. Studies were systematically selected and plotted using the Prism Flow chart. The methodological quality of the study was assessed using the PEDro scale. Conclusions: the goal of the bachelor's thesis was achieved, the scientific literature on the use of dynamic compression garments in improving gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy was selected and analyzed. The use of dynamic compression garments is mildly effective in improving gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy; there is insufficient evidence to suggest which types of dynamic compression garments are more effective in improving gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy; the effectiveness of dynamic compression garments in the treatment of cerebral palsy requires additional research; in the conservative treatment of cerebral palsy, dynamic compression orthoses are used in combination with physiotherapy and occupational therapy in children with cerebral palsy. Key words: cerebral palsy, dynamic compression garments, gross motor function, Gross motor function measure, dynamic elastomeric fabric orthosis, lycra, suit therapy. Work contains 62 pages, seven pictures, six charts, seven attachments; one source and 20 periodical press names, ten internet resources are mentioned.
