Abstract
Pētnieciskais darbs “Dermokosmētisko līdzekļu lietošana rozācijas gadījumā” izstrādāts laika posmā no 2021.gada septembra līdz 2022. gada aprīlim Rīgas Stradiņa Universitātes Farmācijas fakultātē, Lietišķās farmācijas katedrā. Darba vadītāja Ludmila Baranova. Darbs sastāv no 55 lapaspusēm, 6 pielikumiem, 7 attēliem, 7 tabulām un 48 bibliogrāfijas avotiem.
Ievads.
The research work “Use of dermocosmetic products in case of rosacea” has been carried out between September 2021 and April 2022 at Rīga Stradiņš University Pharmacy Faculty, Department of Applied Pharmacy. Research manager Ludmila Baranova. The work consists of 55 pages, 6 attachments, 7 images, 7 tables and 48 bibliography sources. Introduction. Rosacea affects about 5% of the community. Mild forms of disease may initially not reduce quality of life, but without proper skin care and treatment, flare-ups of symptoms are typical. With time it isn't being treated, rosacea can move into the more severe forms of the disease and become disruptive. The choice of correct skin care products is invaluable and can significantly improve the appearance of the skin and human well-being. The aim. Collect basic principles for the care of the skin affected by rosaces, identify the active ingredients that improve the skin condition. Clarify and analyse the assessment of patients and specialists (dermatologists, cosmetologists) on the use of dermocosmetic products in day-to-day care. Materials and Methods. An overview, analysis and summary of the literature in evidence-based medical databases. Analysis of the composition, determination of the active ingredients and aggregation of dermocosmetic products available in Latvian pharmacies and online pharmacies. Data collection, anketting. Analysis of data. Results. The expert view that dermocosmetic products improve skin condition is unambiguous, but some specialists considered that only in combination with medicines. Dermocosmetic products in 81% of customers improve skin status slightly or expressly, and no statistical differences are observed between drug users/non-user groups. Conclusions. Patients affected by rosacea and specialists acknowledges dermocosmetic products as skin performance-enhancing products. Amog patients/customers dermocosmetic products which contain moisturising agents (promoting hydration and maintaining the skin barrier), herbal products (soothing the skin), sun protection factors (provides protection from the negative effects of the sun) and masking substances (masking redness) are better evaluated.
